I screwed up - I mis-read the tiebreakers. I thought total meant if you picked a certain
player - you got his goals/points/shots on goal for all five games. (Thus if both of us
picked the same five players - we would then be obviously tied after five games and
would need a new tiebreaker to decide things.)

Actually, you only get the players game stats for the game where you picked that player.
So for example - I took Vanek in Game #1 and he got five SOG - I get five SOG. I don't
get his 1 SOG in Game #2 and Game #3 etc.

So yes, we are tied in total goals and total points since none of our players picked got
anything in the games in which they were picked. However they did get some SOG in
those games and if I got the right players with the right boxscores correct - I'm up 10-5
heading into tonight.

LaxSabre - Vanek (5) - Pominville (2) - Hodgson (3) - Ennis (0) = 10 SOG.
Vapor Trail - Pominville (0) - Hodgson (0) - Vanek (1) - Stafford (4) = 5 SOG.

So if Stafford and Ennis don't get a point or are tied on goals and then tied on total points,
it comes to the sog tiebreaker and I'll win as long as Ennis doesn't have six more shots
than Stafford tonight. If Ennis has five more than Stafford - then ugh - we have to do
another tiebreaker.

Well whatever happens, happens - good luck to Vapor Trail in our matchup and good luck
to everyone else tonight. Lets Go Buffalo! LS...

Edit: Sorry LoveDaSwords - didn't see your post - must have started typing this post
at the same time you started yours. You basically said what I typed in shorter form. LOL!

I can't win because he's up and took the same guy.

What the **** is the point of home ice advantage then?

It isn't allowed. He has to change his pick or it will be ruled as a "No Selection" or "Invalid Selection". That's the entire point of having first pick advantage.

This. Thought it was a safe assumption you couldn't take the same person as somebody else. Pretty much defeats the purpose of having first pick. Nobody else has done that in any of the games so far because it's pretty much implied you can't take the guy. In my opinion, jcorfiive's pick shouldn't count.

Edit: Good, thanks for clarification BTT.

Crap. Sorry. If its not too late Il;l go with Kaleta.

Edit: I knew it was too good to be true. Also, I didn't see it stated anywhere this was not allowed.

LeafSadist and I alternated between Vanek, Roy, Pommer, Stafford, and Hodgson in all five games. No points for either of us.

If I've done the math right, I'm pretty sure I won the tie-breaker though (12-8).

I'm just glad Luceni didn't participate or the #1 seed would have been swiftly eliminated. Here's to turning it around in the quarterfinals.

Wouldn't have mattered since Afino didn't get a point and jcor already had 1.

It was a dick move, but I didn't see it written that it wasn't allowed. (Edit: Maybe put it down in black and white that it's not allowed?) Sorry that I missed the gentleman's agreement/didn't abide to it, but dammit I wanted to win. I can't believe neither of us made a correct pick in the subsequent games.

Would've suggested a majority vote of those in the playoffs (with my alternate pick of Kaleta being a few minutes late). I know it's easy to say now, but I would've been fine with whatever decision came up regardless.

Nice playing with you, Afino.

I wasn't really clear on if you could pick the same guy or not either, but since no one else was doing it I just assumed you couldn't.

How could Jay do me like that?! The week after my age turns his jersey number and after I won his ASG goal puck (for work) to give to him, we're having words after the season!

Congrats BTT :handshake:
Best of luck in Round 2 man!
