Buff's recent play

Earlier this season, I was one of those who initially wondered what Atlanta management were smoking when the signed Buff to a 5 year, $26 million contract. But after a horrible start, he has turned his game around, and dramatically improved his +/-. He's been +9 over the past 8 games. WOW.

Remember the early arguments about whether he should be moved to forward? I now think he's better as a defenseman with some offense thrown in. He's not an Orr/Park/Borque... yet, but that is not a bad template to follow.

the best way to cover up buff constant eratic mistakes on the ice, is all 3 forwards backchecking hard.

Otherwise a good team like detroit will beat buff like a rented mule.

With better conditioning and the abandonment of certain vices Buff could have his name engraved on the Norris more than a couple of times!

I will reserve judgment until after tonight's game but his stats are much improved.

give it up already ... Buff's been one of our best players this year.
