Is self-immolation illegal in the state of New Jersey?

Posted this in the GDT earlier.

Don't be tearing your hair out yet. Stepan is envious as it is.

Clearly didn't grind enough. Maybe try another defenseman as a winger, that should do it.

If we had more grinders and guys who could drop the gloves, we would've won that game

There's simply not enough offense here. First round exit coming up.

They actually outplayed Ottawa the first two periods but they couldn't finish. Third period was awful, just a complete collapse. Del Zotto and Stralman were both atrocious in the third.

PP looked improved at points but at the end of the day, the puck needs to go in the net. You aren't going to win games with one goal.

Not enough time for the 4th line. We have the 2 clowns dressed, and Chris Neil is allowed to run around nailing guys anyway. Meanwhile the muscleheads contribute nothing 2 straight games.

I dozed off a little. Did Stepan really get benched for awhile? What did Rupp do that people in the game thread were laughing about?

Honestly, the Rangers got some really lousy goaltending. Some bad decisions from our D corps, but for the most part, they were good. Our forwards were pretty awful to a man. I think we need to start mixing our lines. We need at least ONE line that is an offensive threat. I am of the opinion that we move Richards with Gabs for at least a game.

I know a lot of people are going to disagree with me, but I thought our PP looked better tonight. At the very least they were getting some decent movement as well as shots from the points. They have the right idea, they just need to get the execution in sync.

The good? Scott's breakaway was comedic gold.

The bad: Biron

The Redden: The PP, bad passing, no creativity.

Summary; it's like they got deflated after the game was tied and mailed it in. Cally is struggling out there you can just see it in his face. Biron has been bad but who do you replace him with next year? Vokoun? Nittymaaki? The Rangers don't have any real goalie prospects and if they draft a Subban or the Russian kid this year, they won't be ready for 3-4 years.

The passing and decision making was awful tonight.

Can they please call up MZA and have him, Dubinsky, and Mitchell play on the 4th line together? At least that might generate some offense.

Is there any more goons in the AHL? We desperately need them here. This team is full of talent.

Too many guys in the bottom six that just bring nothing offensively. Scott, Boyle, Prust, Fedotenko, and Rupp alone have limited to no offensive skill and just grind. Mitchell may be the most talented out of the bottom six offensively and he's nothing more than a 13th forward IMO. That's a huge problem.
