Didn't think Zid would do much of anything with the Devils but I was actually hoping he'd be enough to propel them deep enough into the playoffs to get us that 3rd round pick.

The Devils still could potentially do that on their own.

He's had 2 brilliant games in a row including 2 assists tonight in the devils 5-1 win.

Kovalchuk on Zids:

Quote:
the most impressive one to me was the pass under pressure by him to (David Clarkson) at the end there. It wasn’t by accident. It says a lot about his vision
As the games as have gone on, he's looking more and more comfortable in the Devils system and his roaming on the PP has opened up lanes which has resulted in numerous PP goals.

His PP work coupled with his 5-on-5 work (which is worlds better than that cone foster) is why he was brought in. And he's only going to get better as he adjusts to the new system.

All things considered, it's a trade that both sides can be happy with.

I think all Wild fans want to see the conditional on that third triggered.

Zids had the GWG for the Devs tonight on a beautiful shot. Another phenomenal performance from him in all aspects of the game. He's getting more and more comfortable as he puts in time.

Couldn't be any happier that he's conforming considering we have him for another year

How do you guys like Palms?

Zids looks like he cares about playing the game again. I think here in Minny he just sort of packed it in, and quit caring and trying, hoping to be traded. Well he got his wish. I was never really a fan of Zids while he was here. If he wasn't going to give it his all here, he may as well be gone....

which he is .....

now.

Shows flashes from time to time, but he's a work in progress right now.

Happy to see Zids helping you guys out, we all know he wasn't doing it here.

No one has been good consistently, but Palms has shown promise at least.

I don't know the record but I'd bet this has nothing to do with the Zids trade but more with the Schultz one.

I heard that trade really shook up the team. He's been a Wild for a long time.
