That should actually be a decent hire. Hopefully we won't be crippled by injuries and he might have a chance of starting to right the ship next season.
If you think 3 years with one game is bad just wait until year 4 when all 8 home games are in London and they drop the STL and and London to the name, of course I dont think the will call them the London Rams. We should start speculating what their new name will be...the London ____s
The london monarchs?
London queens?
london soldiers with big hats?
The English Muffins?
No chance of a full time London team. The city couldn't even maintain an NFL Europe team!
As it stands, it is easy to sell 1 game a year, because people travel from all over the UK and Europe to go to that game. A full time team in London won't draw that kind of support, and the NFL has to be fully aware of that.
A German team on the other hand would certainly draw enough support.
Just wanted to stop by and visit any Mizzou college bball fans. Congrats on the new ranking. My #1 UK will be thrilled to finally have another team in the conference that can play ball and help the SEC become more than just a football conference. My co worker, and fellow Preds ticket holder, is from Missouri and we have already been talking about heading up for a game next year.

If Bowers wasn't hurt we'd be #1
Should be some great teams between us and Kentucky in the future though.
A bit of a weird one, is it not? Not being in North America, I don't pay too much attention to baseball until towards the end of Spring Training, but aren't the Cardinals pretty well off in starting pitching?
Waino, Carp, Garcia, Lohse and Westbrook. McClellan too has shown himself capable of the starting role.
Although, you can't have too much starting pitching, and I guess they need to spend the money somewhere.

McClellan can't hold up for an entire season and Westbrook sucks. Beltran, Oswalt, and a healthy Wainwright will sure make the transition a lot easier. With Fielder gone and Braun suspended, our only competition are the Reds. We should win the division without too much difficulty.

Glad you feel that way. My team (Reds) hopefully have other plans.
A vet presence in the rotation is a great idea, IMO.

Problem is the bottom 3 starters you listed. I don't trust Garcia, Lohse and Westbrook in those spots. Oswalt gives you a no. 3 with a great chance to win and fill a gap while Shelby Miller (our top pitching prospect) plays one more year in the minors. Westbrook proved that he can be an excellent situational lefty/long reliever.

In all honesty, I see the Reds and Cards duking it out for the NL Central title all season long. Brewers are screwed (losing Fielder and Braun for 50 games), Cubs are awful (rebuilding) while Pirates and Astros are a joke. Jocketty adding Latos made me wet my pants a little bit, I'll admit. The Reds had a rough season after making the playoffs the year before, so I fully expect them to rebound and give the Cards a lot of trouble.
Yadier Molina has signed a five year extension to remain in St. Louis. I have to say that I like this signing; he's going to be a huge help with our young pitchers (Miller, Martinez, possibly Jenkins - and that's not even mentioning the guys we already have on the roster).
And with five draft picks in the first two rounds (first round and supplemental round), our future is looking very bright.
That was absolutely insane. We should still be able to get Blackmon too.
Not sure if we can get Blackman at 6. Hopefully him or Claiborne falls to us. I think Khali is gone at 3, not that we would necessarily be interested in him even though our line is an expensive question mark.
Great trade though, 2 1sts and a 2nd to move back 4 spots. This team has a lot of holes to fill. Also nice making the trade with Washington, their front office is nearly inept as ours (nearly). This could end up being a Kesselesque return (multiple top 10 picks). Sounds like they timed the deal perfectly as well with the Manning saga going on.

It was for 3 1sts, but yea great trade, we should definately be able to grab either Blackmon, Claiborne, or T Rich with the 6th pick.
Claiborne has been the guy I've wanted all along, but I doubt he makes it past 5. I think Tampa will take him.
Cleveland is the wildcard now. I'm sure there is strong consideration of taking Blackmon or Richardson at #4 in that organization, but they could get desperate and take Tannehill OR they could trade down to #7 and let Jacksonville take Blackmon and take Tannehill at pick #7. This is one of the most interesting drafts I've seen from a St. Louis perspective.
