Amen

I've been trying to stay positive and not mope about but its like being beaten about with feathers for six straight years without any relent. I can't take many more soft supple lashes.

I think MPS should've been the one sent down early in the season and Linus should've stayed up here.

Given the same minutes IMO he would've produced the same offence Hemsky has for 1/5th cost.
It was a weird goal, intercepted a slow pass from kaberle and wristed it from almost the blueline, hit a MTL players stick defelected in, akward goal for sure, He actually played good with smyth because him and smyth are 2 of the few players who like to play the boards and win battles, But gagner was atrocious tonight and was a belanger esque black hole

I hate seeing Hall defending an empty net. The raw look of frustration and disappointment when he fails to save the goal is heart wrenching. You know he is taking it to heart.

Glad to see Omark with a goal. He's not playing too badly at all.

I thought Schultz was suppose to be a stay-at-home D. Pretty awesome to see him jumping up into plays and creating plays.

CBJ with their 4th straight win tonight. Edmonton better not let them catch us :S

Has anyone asked Renney about this? I just can't bloody fathom the reason behind this. Is he trying to ease Schultz into the system or something? Or did that puck liquify his brain like a chicken breast in a magic bullet?

WTF

Does Hemsky REALLY need one? Fer Cereal?
If we're taking an 'A' off anybody, Whitney is first in line for me right now. Skating ability be damned, he's coughing the puck up behind our own goal line on a nightly basis and making poor decisions all around.

But yeah, Hall should have a letter next year. Hopefully a new coach will recognize this instantly. Hall = heartbeat of this team.

If the Oilers are hosting another Draft Lottery Party, I'm gonna be furious. I hope the fans trash it and send a message to management and tell them we demand results in 2013 or they can go kiss the asphalt!

Improvement comes (it has to, it better) in the offseason, not in a game in March. If Tambo's idea of improvement this summer is more Barker's and Potter's then he should be shown the door.

Agreed . I've supported Jones in the face of some pretty ludicrous criticism on this board , but he hasn't been good lately .
Looks like a different guy than we saw last season and the first half of this season .

Jones doesn't look like the same player that we saw from 2010 to late 2011 at all. I'm thinking that this experiment is drawing to a close.

LEts not go overboard, Omark didn't do much and the goal was a total fluke that he just threw on net from near the blueline.
I thought that Hemsky actually skated hard and tried to create offense but with Gagner a total no show and with Omark being a similar player, that line was destined for major fail. I don't know what Renney was thinking with that line. Omark should have been on the RNH-Eberle line and Hall on the Gagner-Hemsky line.

Teddy was one of my favorites last year. Really sad how bad he has been. Hes not an NHLer this year. Not even close.

Tambo has a ton of work ahead of him. He will have to pull some serious magic out of his rear to right this ship. Could you imagine if we are in contention for a top three pick next year as well? Mother of God.

His game wouldn't be an issue if the lines ahead of him were actually competitive on a nightly basis...

I thought Omark was pretty decent, at least compared to the rest of the players below him on the depth chart. He set up a few chances, got the puck out, and scored a goal. Good enough for me from a second liner.

Jones, Whitney, Peckham are just awful.

Renney switched them for 2 shifts but both lines looked even worse

The Good:

Regardless of the outcome of this season, we still have 3 all world young talents.

Shultz. Provides poise and good positioning. Getting tried with a few different players, doing well regardless. I like him.

The Bad:

Gagner had a bad game. Offensively the play died on his stick, and defensively he made some boo-boo's.

Smyth. We really need to revisit if we want him on the team next year. I love the guy, I really do, but man he's slowed down tremendously as the season has progressed.

The Ugly:

Theo Peckham. His last game as an Oiler please.

Ugh, I think we're basically a lock for a top 2-3 pick in the draft now.

One key guy CAN make a huge difference though. That's why I'll willing to overpay to get a guy like Weber or Schneider.
