I think the Howard situation, no matter how much he or teammates deny it, is really bringing down the morale of the team. If he says and continues to say he does not want to play in Orlando they need to trade him ASAP and stop dragging it out. If his heart is not with the team (and we all know its not) then it effects the performance of the team. I feel he could have handled it much better than how he has, and I can't wait to see him gone so the team can move on. /rant.
Although I will say this is better than the LeBron/Cleveland scenario, I still think it is lame all around.
What a baby. They have overhauled the team not once, not twice, but THREE times to bring in players that Howard wants to play with but each time he complains some more. The guy is a *********.
You hang on to Dwight until after the All-Star Game(obviously) then make one more last gasp as signing him to an extension before say March 5th. Of he doesn't accept then you send a mass text to all the GM's saying the phone lines are open.
Looks like the Saints are going down, hard. Good. **** that team.
"Tainted Saints"
Explains why Freeman went ballistic when he accused Malcolm Jenkins for going after his knees in 2010. The league should make them forfeit this year's #1 pick, make them playoff ineligible in 2012 and move them to the last pick in all rounds in the following draft. The fact that the owner, the GM, the head coach and the players knew all about it, is disgusting.
Apparently Greg Williams did this when he was with Tennessee also...just didn't get caught that time.
In what may be a baseball first, a pitcher had to throw in the towel on a start after sustaining an injury from an actual towel.
Sounds strange, but it's true: Tampa Bay Rays lefty David Price had to leave Wednesday's spring training game against Detroit on Wednesday after he somehow screwed up the simple act of drying his sweaty head with a towel in the dugout.
Price had been scheduled for three innings of work, but was only able to complete two. Afterward, he not only explained to reporters how this could possibly happen, but that this wasn't the first time he's had a run-in with a spasm-inducing sham!
