The style of Pax is quite similar to Ryder, Vanek, Ryan, Cheechoo, Dagenais. One dimensional player that is good at nothing else than shooting.
Oh yeah, you're getting flammed

Indeed, plus, with Drury retired and Langenbrunner old, there are a couple openings to bring Team Canada down.

What's the award for most improved comeback player? Doesn't coming back from death to score 30+ goals make him a lock for that award?

Pacioretty might not score as much if Desharnais turns out to be injured

Awesome for the bump!
If it wasn't for that suspension he would be going for over 35! So proud of the guy!!
It's gonna be fun reading over all these posts.

Or just as much. His NHL rampage started before he was on Desharnais line and probably will continue without it.

Looking at the poll results teaches me that pessimists rule optimists on this board 70/30. Too bad

Pacioretty made a lot of shot, but he also made a lot of play. He already scored 30 goals. At the moment, he got 24 assists. He probably will be a 30-30 player. Any player in the 30-30 club is not one a one dimensional player. Really don't know what you are talking about.

I think I voted over, but I'm smelling 35 on the dot, even after this game; which is still pretty awesome.

Agreed. MaxPac is the elite scoring talent on that line.

I voted under even though I have huge faith in Pacioretty just because we tend to under-rate the likelihood of something going wrong. Missing 10 games due to injury for example would be pretty significant.
As far as the statistical tea-leaves look, this kind of production is entirely sustainable for Pacioretty. He's not getting an inordinate percentage of his shots going in, which is a hazard of small sample sizes, its because he generates such volumes of chances. Although getting soft minutes probably helps.
He's a great player.

Pacioretty is the ladies man equivalent for hockey centers. He will chemistry with every good center he meets. He was making Gomez productive last year and upon being reunited for a brief time tonight, Gomez set him up for a goal.

Agree, I feel in the Force that Markov's comeback will happen very soon. And we will win 14 games in a row to make the playoffs, 8th. And up to the Stanley Cup. Believe.
...
No but really, is there anyone still believing at this point?
