I like Bunz, he has been my goal-dar for a while. With that being said so was Roy....
I wouldn't be so quick to write off Roy. He's having as good a season as you could hope in the ECHL I think. We'll obviously see how he does in the AHL next year, but I've still got some hope that he can pan out.
No flaming from me, anyone who watch Fuhr as an Oiler should agree with you regarding his 'one soft goal per game' syndrome, usually through the 5 hole.
The thing with Fuhr though, was he would make at least a half dozen electrifying saves to bail out his team when they were too busy sending 4 players up the ice every shift. With Fuhr, lack of talent was NEVER his problem. Lack in concentration, yeah he was guilty of that.
With Dubnyk, I simply don't see enough talent there to convince me that he could handle a starter's job and be at least average at it.
I look at him, and I see Daryl Reaugh.
Ahhh... Fuhr. I still remember the bronx cheers and "the fans are jerks" comment. Funny how time and a few Stanley Cups make it all better.
Whitney was bar none the worst D-man of the whole group in the colorodo loss. I think even Barker or Peckam could of done better today. WTF. If a guy can't skate at all he should not be in our line up.
Put the useless pos on long term disability. He obviously can't move/skate reliably enough to be an NHL defender. And the rest of his skills looks completley pooched as well.

I agree completely.
He can't play at this level anymore. Its pathetic to see some people go on about how he will be better next year once he gets healthy or adjusts or some other miracle happens. The f'ing guy has NEVER been healthy since coming here. Enough already.
If/when Whitney gets his game back, (maybe not til next season?) he's our best defenseman, hands down.
What do you guys want to do? Trade him when his value is the lowest? Play Pecks and sit Whit? Renney has to let him try and play his way out of it, and there's really nothing else you can do.
We need to into next year with Whitney as our #5 and Dubnyk being our #2. If they exceeds expectations then bonus. If we go into next year with Whitney and Dubnyk being our number #1s we can expect another lottery pick.
