Really hoping TMac is back for tomorrows game. If Shaw and Woodcraft are managing the lines I am just going to turn the tv off and watch a movie.

Harry and Lloyd will double shift Vandermeer and Winchester all night and forget to play Thornton and Marleau.

I hate to keep piling on but the decisions made saturday night were so bad. I actually missed Yawney.

Mark Emmons confirmed just a few moments ago via Twitter that TMac is back in tomorrow!

I may have done that last game. But wife would be more pissed if I broke the tv than what Soupy would be if he ran out of beer.

Havlat, Ferriero and Winchester (with wrap on arm/wrist) were skating as 5th line today. So I'm thinking that's a good indication they are out.

Vandermeer was skating as D guy today.

Lots of "talking through" special teams today. Out there for more than an hour of structured practice.

I had read that Havlat will be travelling with the team on this next road trip.

i know he is "starting & stopping" and its positive that he is actually on a line in practice.

i wish brodie or pollak would give an eye witness account to how he looks, how hard he is going etc.

*PS: LadyStanley, just want to say that I appreciate the gathering of news/notes that you do, especially on game day!

Pollak wasn't at practice yesterday, but Emmons was:

@markedwinemmons
Make no claim of being a doctor or a trainer. But my eyes tell me Marty Havlat is getting closer. Moving around the ice well today.

Pavelski not on the ice for today's practice (Havlat was wearing the white "top line" jersey in his place).

Emmons reports it was a "maintenance day" for Pavs.

Havlat is not (yet) ready to play, but will be traveling on the trip (guessing he might be in the lineup after trip from the comments).

Emmons says that tomorrow's starting goalie hasn't been decided, but might be Niemi.

Spector talking about how the luster is off the Sharks.

LeBrun may "pull" his support. NHL's @davelozo is stepping back from the team.

Maybe that's just what the Sharks need. "Sinking" below the surface and coming up from the depths to inflict pain/bites.

JR being JR.

"You're not going to get any consistency out of Patrick Marleau because he can't find it in him to get angry, mad, ticked off enough to help lead this team out of the doldrums."

I like this line a whole lo more...

Quote:
If those top two lines don't score goals, they're not going to win games. Other teams realize that they just have to shut one line down and if they do they can win.
JR was a good hockey player but he sucks at this 'Analyst' thing he's trying to do.

Whatever bone it is he has to pick with Marleau, he should really get over it.

Plus you know, Marleau being incredibly consistent over his career and all...

I loved JR as a Shark, but he really needs to shutup.

Apparently Tommy Wingels is a lot more involved in the "You Can Play" PSA than I thought.

Some quotes about him from Patrick Burke:

Quote:
Tommy Wingels of the SJ Sharks and Andy Miele of the PHX Coyotes organization both serve on our advisory board. In addition, they are our founding donors. Without their support and generosity, we never would have gotten off the ground. They keep bugging me to find more ways to get them involved in LGBT athlete outreach. Tommy and Andy are absolute hockey heroes.
Quote:
Answered elsewhere, but Tommy Wingels and Andy Miele are the two big ones. The NHL players we have reached out to have been amazing and have gone out of their way to participate.
You can read the entire interview thing at:

I really dont think he is wrong though. I do go back to the last, bad stretch I can really remember from a few years ago. The Sharks were struggling and the yotes spanked them hard, 6-0 or 6-1, something like that. The Sharks went on the road and swung back through phoenix. Patty gets in a fight in the first period/few shifts and the team responds.

When patty gets moving, gets hitting and gets aggressive. The team follows him. This is the softest sharks team I have seen in a long time. They dont normally take a lot of crap from the other team (short of the jackets game) but they dont initiate anything either.

I dont think anyone expects anything different from Patty, hes been the same throughout his life. That said, I think if he shows a bit of emotion he can wake up the team. I dont expect a fight from him but I expect him to start going to the dirty areas, talking on the bench more etc.

Drew Remenda show 3/7 (KNBR), he started off indicating that he "could not use cell phones where I was so had to get out of the building" (so he could call in).

I'm wondering if maybe he has a family member in hospital or something (to account for not doing his Sharks broadcasting tasks).

Sound reasoning. Not like he would be at the dmv or jury duty. Hope all is well with him.

SanJoseSharks 9:55am via Web Torrey Mitchell has a knack for scoring late in the second period. Four of his goals have come at 19:58, 17:57, 18:18, & 18:39. #TacoTorrey

I don't like Roenick's comments either, but he did spend two years in the locker room with Patty. Two more than any of us.

I saw him at Target once and he seemed committed to his shopping
