If he wants to keep playing he'll have to. Which I don't really have a problem with.

Nice find. He sure isn't shy about the celebrations.

Regarding Bergin, he might have an outside shot because he's known as a high-character type guy, a bit like Sawada was. In the past when the Stars were thin on AHL level prospects he might've stood a better chance. With this large crop about to come through into the system there probably won't be room. Idaho is a possibility if he really wants to play but he could probably use his degree and make more money.

He's taken 33 minors?

Or has he had a misconduct or 2 in there?

No, that's just an Anglicization. It's the Czech equivalent of Matthew so that's why they do it, but it's pronounced more like Mat-A (like saying the letter A) in reality.

Stransky's #14 and Dietz's #44 look very similiar

Great move by Stransky to step up for his teammate.

Btw is he the teamleader in scoring? How many points has the leader of the league?

Stransky is 1st in team scoring, 27th in league scoring (league leader has 121 points in 64 games)

I don't expect many out of him but fighting in that type of situation is a good indicator of character. That was a questionable hit and Stransky didn't hesitate for a second.

Reilly Smith, teammates, and coach talk about Smith, why he came to Miami, will he stay for senior year, etc.

I would not be surprised to see him stay another year. If Miami was able to win the National Championship finally though, I think he'd for sure go pro.

I really want to see his pro career start ASAP, but I have to admit it would be great to see him have an even better season as a senior. I became a Miami fan the year they just lost out to Boston University for the National Championship just before Dallas drafted Smith and McKenzie. It would be nice to finally see them accomplish that goal.

Watching Chiasson and BU right now ... not live.

When Chiasson and the first line aren't on the ice, BU fights to get out of their own zone and have little offensive zone time.

Chiasson moves the puck quickly and accurately out of the D zone.

The line draws a penalty. They don't play until the second half, but Chiasson carries the puck into the O zone. He looks almost Ribeiro-esque with his puck control and stick handling into the zone. He's a decoy on the second rush but he gets to the net quickly. He serves as an effective screen before pushing a point shot rebound through the goalie's 5 hole. Should have been his goal but a teammate nudges puck over line just before it goes over.

His line draws another penalty. They continue to be the only effective line though there was one rush by another line.

Chiasson is at RW but he takes most of the faceoffs, and he seems to win his fair share.

Still not live.

BU has one shot and one other good scoring chance on PP. Chiasson in on both.

First he carries puck in the zone, walks around defender getting a heavy shot on net. He gathers his rebound and pass across crease just misses.

After winning a puck race with a defender and some puck battles along the board, chiasson gets open behind the net and feeds a teammate a great pass. Shot goes wide.

End of 1 ... still not live.
