85 Years of Blood, Sweat & Cheers: Joel Quenneville Article
I'll just leave this here. Very good read. Also tends to make one thing that the folks upstairs read and understand what is being said about them, the coaches, and the players. This could almost be considered a response of sorts.
nice article. i'm personally a big fan of q and don't think he deserves as much criticism as he gets. yeah he needs to fix some things, but the players deserve some of the blame as well sometimes. like with the powerplay. sometimes the hawks players (kane and keith) just wanna pass the puck around and look cute. put the damn puck on net!
you can tell q cares, especially when he looks like a madman behind the bench when the hawks are ****ing up
Q is a good interview. You can always tell he is passionate. That being said, he deserves blame but not near the portion he is being served. There are a lot of whacky, bleeped up things going on with this organization on and off the ice and if there was one singular answer on how to fix it, it would be fixed. I know Bowman wants to tell everyone the players need to just play better but that hasn't and won't happen just out of the blue and fix everything. That's not how it works. We need an all fronts approach. The last thing we need is to do is put it on the players. Major, major error on Bowman's part...not only the lack of moves but saying the roster was fine and that the reason they aren't in 1st is their own doing. So you give Q a thin disgruntled roster (how many times do we have to hear it to believe there is some truth there for crying out loud) and expect what exactly? 1st? A Cup? Right...
