Vatanen is skillful and fast. Still I think he will be too small for being elite defenceman in the Nhl. If he dominates in finnish EliteLeague it doesn't mean anything...

TBF to Sami he has about the same frame as Lubo does, and I'd consider that Lubo was an elite offensive defenceman at one point in his career.

Vatanen so far with one assist in tonight's game with around 25 minutes left to play.
edit: Game ended with Sami's team winning 3-0 and he had that one assist, +1 and most minutes on his team (25:29). No stars though (bust
). Vatanen is 11th in playing time averaging 23:41 per game. Guy is a workhorse.

Vatanen scored again! This time on a penalty shot. He was also the first star of the game, great defensive effort too today.
The regular season ended, Vatanens stats:
49 GP 14G + 28A = 42 points +11
He has been very impressive since coming back from the injury, 9 game point streak with 12 points to end the season!
