Still amazed by Collberg and Forsberg going so early. Good players but they dont bring anything extraordinary to the table. I dont think anyone of them will make a whole NHL season.
I don't think it was an actual Montreal scout...he has close ties to Montreal's head scout/director of player dev.
At any rate at this point you can't really believe what you hear...i'm sure there will be alot of intentionally false information spread around by many of the teams at the top of the draft order.

isn't Patrick Roy pimping out Grigo to get picked by the Habs?
This mock draft was only done to test out a scenario where Galchenyuk drops to Toronto.
That's not going to happen. The Wild will grab him if he is still on the board. They will happily draft a top tier Dman if he's not, but even with the Wild's forward prospects, they can always use an offensive elite forward to play with Granlund for 10 years.

I agree %100 percent. It really shows how weak this draft class (especially forwards) is.

I'm CBJ's head scouts' brother and he doesn't like yakupov or Grigorenko. He's going off the board. He really likes Matt Finn's game

I agree, minesotta may be looking for a franchise dman with burns gone. However players like galchenyuk arent available everyday, you take them regardless of need. The only prayer for toronto is if Minnesota gets a couple more wins then toronto to finish out the year
Still think Montreal takes Galchenyuk. #3. Grigorenko will be this years Couturier.

please he's been ranked 5-7 all year mostly due to his injury. And that's where the poster has him ranked. The only people that him in the top 3 is the prospect junkies on this board.
Edmonton's going to take a defenseman, obviously.
Montreal will take Grigorenko because of his connection with Patrick Roy.
Timmins (our head scout) seems to be a little iffy on him. I wouldn't be surprised if he went with Galchenyuk over Grigs. Dunno if that's the right move, but he's more of a Timmin's pick.

Timmins loves his US born players. Recently he's also focused on very strong work ethic and Galchenyuk's recovery from his injury has created a really positive impression.

You do know that the poster you're headshaking is from Sweden, right? & he's right, Forsberg's not even playing in the SEL & Collberg has been but has been very underwhelming. At least last year Zibanejad was playing in the SEL & putting up some reasonable #'s & didn't look out of place as a 17 year old. & it was a surprise to many that he went as early as #6 overall.
I don't think New Jersey uses their first on Subban as his stock has been falling recently if anything they might move up in the second round to get him and try and get another defenseman with their first this year.

I agree with all 3 posts.
I don't see Lou passing on Koekkoek if he's still on the board. If I had to guess, I'd say that Lou and Conte would pick another solid d-men and cross their fingers that one of Vasilevki or Subban drops in the middle of the 2nd round and probably move up to select one of them. If both guys are off the board, there's still Oscar Dansk who's flying below the radar and wouldn't be a bad pick in the 2nd or 3rd round.
I just don't see two goaltenders going in the 1st round but that's just my opinion
If we could land Koekkoek and upgrade our biggest weakness (our blueline), we'd have a promising crop of young stud blueliners in Adam Larsson, John Merrill, Éric Gélinas and Slater Koekkoek.

Wouldn't mind that one bit
Hypothetical: if the Devils happen to make the conference finals and pick in the 27-30 range, would Lou opt to forfeit this year's pick and get that out of the way?
