NHL network must be pumped to have Bolts vs Caps tonight instead of those cellar dwellers Rags vs Sens or Flyers vs Cats.
I think the broadcast schedule is set up in the summer when most here would probably have anticipated both to be much stronger than they are but still...your right, you would expect it to be easy to find a game with a touch more juice on it
Pavel Lysenkov @plysenkov
Salavat lost to Ak Bars (2-4 in the series). Radulov finished the season. Now we await his decision - NHL or a long vacation before the WCM

Great skillset but I`d always be pessimistic that if he decided to come over, if unhappy, how long would it take him to rush out and buy a ticket right back home??
as bruins fans we want montreal to win as many of the rest of their games as possible.
habs fans want their team to lose.
incredible.
Don`t worry about it, with Molson owning the Habs, and Gauthier or whomever calling the shots at the draft table, I suspect their pick will be one of those "off the board" picks anyways.
They are in such disarray, they are far from one summer`s worth of strong drafting from being a ready competitor

i checked with the league office on this one and confirmed that it is indeed ok to "root" for the scabs in this instance since every win is a "1 step forward, 2 steps back" situation for them.

Not this year, they will have a top 3 pick and doubt they screw up. + Timmins has been their best asset since the day he was hired

As much as this won't be in your favor, at the top 3 pick, there's little off the board picks. The last top 5 pick montreal had, they went 'off the board' with carey price. We all know how that turned out. Trevor Timmins does an excellent job for the habs scouting department so in that sense, i'm not really worried. My biggest concern is that they end up choosing a guy like grigorenko and he ends up lazy as hell. I think most habs fans are expecting galchenyuk or grigorenko but habs choose BPA so I wouldn't be surprised if their 'off the board' is a winger or a Dman.
As for the team themselves, yah, they need a new GM and coach but the GM doesn't do much at draft table for us. He may make trades and moves but the picks are selected by trevor timmins so luckily (for the habs) Gauthier can't screw this up.
I think montreal will return to their mediocrity next year...and if they don't, well, it's an even better draft so i'll try to be positive about it.

He's one of the best in the business. I think he'll end up a GM one day.
Edit: and if he were, maybe the most jacked GM in the league too lol.

I feel somewhat bad for those fans...their team has been getting worse and worse, softer and softer since 2008, and every year the fans are still convinced they'll be better than next year, and are pissed when they're not. They need to develop some type of tougher mentality. The whole "tank" for more top end skill thing now going on isn't going to do them any good. Build a checking line or two and beef up a little. They can still have their skill, but it's been years now of simply ignoring their failures, and I'm not sure how much longer it's going to go on.

I don't see why you feel bad at all. Personally, I'm not miserable or anything of the sort.

The league office lied to you. Let them lose every game, let their pick be a bust. May their poutine be soggy and flavourless.
Well, Markov sounds close yet again to coming back, maybe his play will lift them up in the standings and out of the top pick. Although I'd bet he won't last 5 games in the lineup.
Rangers fans still not worried about Boston haha. Did they even watch the games they played vs us? They squeaked by and last game they had no business winning. Its cool though, flyers canucks and habs fans weren't worried about us last year. But still you'd think rangers fans wouldn't be so douchey and overconfident. I thought wrong.
