The only positive is looking forward to a top 10 pick. Top 5 if we're lucky.

Keep playing Gus for that matter.

We're slightly better off in the prospects department than when JFJ got fired?

phil kessel is one of the best players in the world

joffrey lupul has emerged as a star

Gardiner is an awesome young talent

I believe schenn and kadri will both have great seasons next year and we will finally reap the benefits from the awful seasons that earned us those high picks

The draft will be very exciting to watch this summer

Team seems to be responding to the coaching change. Two losses so far comes down to skill level between the teams.

Great year from Kessel

Gardiner shows great poise on the puck for such a young kid

Hopefully have some kids in the system that will turn out to be solid second liners.

Lupul has really come along

Three positive things (with my own spin):

1) If we play bad to end year then this makes Burke more inclined to make moves, and turn around some of culture with this hockey team. Alternatively, if the leafs were to perform good to end the year, like last season, then we would see less off-season activity (which happened).

2) Top 5 pick. I'd love see a high end prospect added to this organization.

3) New coach, hopefully better players addressing some weaknesses, new and adapted system, improved PK; all things fresh things to look out for, with the same expectations being managed.

Bonus: season is almost over, which means just exams left. Then, summmerrrr!

Positives

-Marlies have a chance at the Calder cup
-Lupul's great year
-Potentially a top 5 draft pick (maybe even 4)
-Spring Training is underway
-The continent's best Sports Bar is located right next to the ACC
-The Maple Leaf Square Longo's has a nice seating area by the Starbucks

Andy Frost. His voice just sounds so enthusiastic and puts forth so much effort when he announces the starting lineup and the goals. We should keep him for years to come

Think you are slightly overboard on Phil but he's had a great season.

Schenn/Kadri have stagnated this season (you could argue regressed a little). I don't see how you would point these two out as positives. Instead, I would say lots of good prospects and young players who could surprise next season.

Agree with the rest.

4 pts in last 4 GP

edit:

he's is not a fluke. can give any team 50+ points per season (yes i know he got over 60 last season, and i also know that he is only on pace for 45).

3.25 million still well spent.

on pace for 23 goals and 22 assists despite Kuli's season, and Grabbo taking the month of Feb. off.

- Ron Wilson is gone - Carlyle is in
- Jake Gardiner is going to be a stud
- The Marlies are going to challenge for a Calder
- We are going to draft top 5 ( Draft a 1C instead of selling the farm for one)
- Burke is on the hotseat and his "loyalty" to the these so called core players (Phaneuf) may change

This is really hard for me to do..but i'll give it a try..

1) Top 5 pick this year
2) Burke finally holding someone accountable and firing his best friend after repeated years of failure
3) Jake Gardiner

I can't think of anything else.

-We will see playoff hockey(Unfortunately it will be the marlies not leafs)

-We got a good draft position

1. Although not a huge deal, MacArthur is having his 2nd best statistical year as a pro. 2nd straight 20 goal season

2. Kessel has been better than expected.

3. Gardiner will be solid. Hopefully he focuses on his defensive play this off-season to become more well rounded, but love what I see now.

4. Steckl has been very reliable as a 4th line centreman.

5. Bozak has done a solid job. Even though he isn't a #1 centreman, he hasn't complained and just done his job.

6. Dallas Eakins is doing a stellar job with the Marlies.
