Actually, there's a game today at 3 pm. And you know I'll be listening

Seems like he should have better things to do -- but if he did want to needle the Yankees, there are way better things to go after than the flip.

I for one can't wait for the first time that Valentine asks Ortiz to sac-bunt, and Red Sox Nation explodes.

Usually I can't stand spring training games because they include a lot of players whose only real chance of sniffing a big league ballpark is if they get jobs as stadium vendors. But after checking the boxscore for this game, the teams actually have some of their major league players playing today.

A.J. Burnett out 2-3 months after bunting a ball into his eye socket.

The Redsox have signed Billy Buckner to a minor league deal. Not that one.

Marlins pitcher Anibal Sanchez is experiencing some soreness in his pitching shoulder. Right now he is day to day & they don't believe it is serious, but with these things you never know.

Detroit nearly threw a no-hitter in their first pre-season game against Atlanta and is currently crushing Atlanta 18-1.

I'm not counting games against colleges but they're off to a good start

Tie goes to the runner, right.

Old wound. It was a close play, if Giambi slides, he's safe easily.

Cardinals have driven in 16 runs this preseason. 7 have come off of two swings by Matt Adams.

Haven't read through the posts, forgive me if this has been asked and answered, but anyone know what's going to happen to Harper this year? Is he going to start in the Minors and eventually get moved up?

He's going to start with the big club, but my guess is that he goes down after a period and then is up for good around August.

Another interesting note I heard(not confirmed), and I'm too busy watching the Coyotes fail again. But I heard that if he doesn't come up until June, that the Nationals get an extra year on his contract? Or something like that?

Sort of. It is manipulating his time served so that his UFA year would be delayed due to not having the requisite time.

Absolute bomb off that batters eye in CF.

Gamel also hit a line drive rocket about two-thirds of the way up the grass area between that Kohl's sign and whatever that other sign is to the left of it.

Cespedes could make his spring debut this weekend.

He is killing it in simulated games.
