This seems to have come out of nowhere...
Chris Kuc @ChrisKuc Close
#Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said defenseman Steve Montador is feeling better but wouldn't rule him out missing rest of season.

Olsen will stay in the lineup now. Sucks for Monty and the team. I'd rather have him in the lineup come PO time

Keith-Olsen
Leddy-Seabrook
Hjam-Lepisto
is what I would go with.

WAT?
Can someone put some context around Q's statement? Was he asked a question specificly about missing the rest of the season or did he just volunteer this info out of the blue?
Getting asked the question: "How's Montador doing and can you rule out him missing the rest of the season?" and getting that answer is quite a bit different than if Q were asked this question: "How's Montador doing?"

Hjalmarsson just had a setback. Hjalmarsson, Montador, and Toews will not travel to California.

Montador sounds done, I'm getting nervous about Hjalmarsson, Toews doesn't sound too bad, but it's certainly not good that he may be dealing with symptoms.

Are we 100% sure that Toews is even dealing with any concussion symptoms? I've only seen it reported from one source, and that source also falsely claimed Toews was in an ambulance after his little accident.

If Toews is driving a car and not wearing a cast or a boot or anything, he's having concussion symptoms and this is taking the heaviest hand for being precautionary.

Montador is not listed as healthy scratch. Haven't noticed it before this game. Is he on LTIR? when have the put him on LTIR?

You might have been right.

Can't remember if tweeted earlier, but sounds like Montador suffered a setback. Was skating last week, not this week. #Blackhawks

If Monty comes back, this D becomes a real strength. I thought they looked really good last night with Hjammer back in there, once Monty comes back:
Keith - Seabs
Hjammer - Oduya
Leddy - Monty
That looks real, and I mean REAL solid.

Couple that with the addition of Toews if we roll:
Sharp/Toews/Hayes
?????/Kane/Hossa
Shaw/Bolland/Bickell
Stalberg/Mayers/Brunette
?: frolik, Kruger, AHLer
Only the most pessimistic fan can count that team out and their biggest enemy could be the man behind the bench, that roster is solid and I have a good feeling about Emery or Crawford for some crazy reason.
