Good morning. Please keep they prayers coming today. Looks like we hit another roadblock. He spiked another temp during the night to 101 but it's down to 99.3 right now. However the Arterial blood gas did not look to good to they had to increase the amount of O2 he his getting on the vent settings from 50% to 80%. No plans to extubate today. They would not give me much more information then that. I will go back on my lunch break later and see first hand what is going on.

woah, I know Legion and I occasionally butted heads with eachother on HF, but he still always came across as a good guy. Really sad to hear this. Here's hoping you can recover quickly from this one buddy.
I am not familiar with Legionnaire - I only know of his 'infamous' reputation, but I had to come here and offer my thoughts and prayers for him.
Reading through this thread, the amount of respect he is getting is unreal. It tells me that this guy has some spirit and is a fighter. Get well soon Legionnaire and stay strong Dooney.
My prayers are with you. We know your strong, anyone who has cheered for the Kings as long as you in these trying times shows you are strong willed. I have never met you, but I have enjoyed arguing, agreeing, and just reading your thoughts and philosophies on here.
Well everyone. Not so good to report. They almost had to call a code last night to cardiovert him back to SR. His heart rate was out of control. They put him back on propofol for sedation. I had to leave work early today as I could not work, he is very critical. The doctors said it can go either way but most likely poor. He is starting to go into CHF ( congestive heart failure) and the pneumonia is worse. They have him on triple antibiotics now. They did an echocardiogram this afternoon. The priest came this afternoon to anoint him and pray. I made his mom call her sister ( his aunt) back east and tell her she needs to come out now. Either way it's time for her to come out and see him. It he makes it through the weekend, then monday if he is still on the vent we have to discuss trach and peg for longer term vent support and nutrition. This really sucks. I have been crying all day long. I feel helpless. I keep saying get up. You are Ok. It's time to go home......
This is just so awful to hear, especially after what seemed to be good news last night. I wish the best of luck to Legionnaire and to you Dooney! I'm still hoping to see him back here someday! Don't give up hope!
