Well, Archambault was the 1st overall pick in the Q, so he has a lot of skills, but he still has to put it together. Typical exemple of many tools but no toolbox.
Why don't we just start saying it for every player with that tag: Dumb?
Watched the Tri City game last night, got my first look at Holland, he had 2 assists, he setup the game winning goal in OT with a sweet pass. I was impressed with his speed, but other then that he didn't have that good of a night although he had a ton of ice time and on the PP he played on the point. He got crushed by Musil twice, looked like he was easy to knock off the puck so it looks like he will need to improve his lower body strength going forward.
Gallagher though he was held pointless was one of the better players on the ice imo. He is a little buzzsaw out there, was getting knocked around in front of the net but he never stopped battling, was working hard all night and had a few chances but couldn't connect.
I got the same sense from watching Holland play. The hockey sense is there though. He is a hard worker as well. The learning curve is definitely there.
I was going to say the exact same thing but was afraid of being branded a tech snob
Well I'm not exactly an audiophile but they're a small step above the $10 headphones... okay I guess I'm a bit of a "tech snob"
Anyways, is there a chance we can put together a list of teams in the playoffs and how they're doing?
Like:
London Knights (Tinordi) - 1st round Game 4 - Series: 3-1.

Only the NCAA and the KHL are in the playoffs,
NCAA playoff series start tonight through Sunday in a best of 3,
WCHA-
(12th) North Dakota (Kristo/MacMillan) vs Bemidji State- North Dakota has home ice for Friday and Saturday nights game in the best of 3 series. ND is currently ranked 12th in the NCAA so as of today they are on the bubble of making the Frozen Four tournament but if they go on a run in the playoffs or repeat as WCHA champs they will make it.
(3rd) Minnesota Duluth (Kishel) vs Minnesota State- UMD finished 2nd in the WCHA and is currently ranked 3rd in the NCAA, so they are all but a lock for the upcoming frozen four tournament. UMD is at home for Fri/Sat in the best of 3 series.
(9th) Denver (Didier) vs Wisconsin- Denver takes on Wisconsin in what should be an interesting matchup despite Wisconsin's struggles this year. The experience should be good for Didier and as long as DU doesn't get upset they stand a good chance of making the frozen four tournament.
CCHA-
(4th) Michigan (Bennett/Pateryn) vs (17th) Notre Dame- Michigan had a first round bye but will take on the 17th ranked Fighting Irish this weekend. Fri/Sat games are at Michigan in the best of 3 series. Many preseason rankings had Notre Dame winning the CCHA this year but they have been widly inconsistent all season.
(16th) Western Michigan vs (20th) Lake Superior- While Mike Cichy isn't playing due to being a transfer student, just thought I would list them.
ECAC-
Cornell vs Dartmouth (Dustin Walsh)- Doesn't look like Walsh will play since he's been out with a hip injury but in case he does I thought I'd list it. Dartmouth goes on the road to face the 2nd place Cornell team which will be a tough task to say the least.
KHL- Trunev's team lost so his season is over and his contract with Severstal will expire next month.
I've been holding off on saying this for awhile, but I can almost guarantee you that Danny Kristo is the most purely skilled player in NCAA hockey. I'm not saying the best, but the most talented. I have had season tickets at UND for years and I'm not sure I've seen anybody with game changing skill like he does. This might sound crazy especially if you look at the guys that have come out of UND alone lately (Toews, Oshie, Parise, Zajac, etc.). He doesn't have the offensive or defensive awareness of some of the guys mentioned above, but based on just skill alone I think he is more gifted than all of them.
In years past, he struggled using his linemates, and although I think he still has problems, he has improved big time. He's very fast and quick, but what impresses me most is his ability to make moves at full speed in mid stride.
He has a lot of improvement to make, but he is a heck of a prospect. The shot could improve, size could improve, and vision could improve. He isn't a liability defensively, but isn't great either, although he has much improved since he came here.
Another thing he could improve on is when to make a move and when to slow the game down and protect the puck. He is so skilled I think sometimes he thinks he can walk through the entire team, and most of the time probably can.
Crazy fun to watch, but unfortunately I don't think he will be in school next year. Just thought I'd give ya an update for those who only get a chance to see stat sheets and don't get to see him live or on TV.

Thanks, always fun to read scouting reports from fans who see the prospects play.

Thanks for the info. If all thats true than we will once again be thanking timmins..
Tinordi is very close. Beaulieu needs time/refinement. Ellis I can't speak for...
Careful with your Tinordi expectations early on. Those super tall guys always have a longer adjustment period when they get to the Show. I think he has potential to be the most valuable of all our prospects (a 25+ minute per game impact Dman) but Habs fans have to be patient with him. I also hope our next GM is patient.
