His point is likely that Pacioretty can score 40 goals in the NHL.

Pointing out how many goals he has this season would be better a way to make this point than referencing a hot streak. Seasons are made up of hot and cold streaks.

I highly doubt it; I think in reality he may become a consistent 25-30 goal scorer over the course of his career. I think now he benefits from the "good player on a bad team syndrome" and that has artificially enhanced his statistics a bit. He has been hot too.

I heard from some doctors he was born with a disease that will not allow him to score more than 39 goals in one season of competitive hockey.

Got a few lucky goals lately, but plays on an unimaginative PP where he barely touches the puck. He could very well score 40 a couple times in his career, but he'd need an coach that rewards offensive play and Yakupov for it to happen.

He can be a 40 goal scored just like Kulemin can be.

Good player on bad team syndrome is largely a matter of getting powerplay minutes one wouldn't get elsewhere. Or getting points on a team that don't play defense which can hardly describe Montreal.

Pacioretty is rampaging on even strength.

he's not a player we would think he could get 40 goals. superstars can score 40 goals. But when you look that he's been playing on a terrible team, already has 30 and is only 23 years old, I can't believe there's not room for improvment

The moment hockey stopped being life and death, the better he got. As bad as the Chara incident was, I strongly believe it made him a better person and a better hockey player.

Masterston trophy this year is basically a lock.

Had the Habs not had the 2nd worst PP in the league, he easily could have scored 5 more goals on it this season.

He still doesn't even know who it was that he hit, I believe Dr.Recchi diagnosed him with traumatic amnesia.

I remember reading a huge argument between who was the better player Kulemin or Pacioretty and people claimed Kulemin was on another level.

Well I guess we can now say that Max is in the penthouse, while Koolman is in the basement..

Will he? Probably not

That's what I was going to say. If you give him a sweetheart assignment like James Neal's, maybe.

I work at the Montreal General Hospital, and the posters for the Max Pacioretty Foundation are posted near several main elevators. Always brings a smile to my face. Good for him.

given that he has 30 in less than 70 games in his sophomore season, I'd say yes, he definitely can be

He is putting up a Vrbata stat sheet. Damn near identical. Not a bad thing though

As for the question, he can. I personally don't think he will (or he will do it once or twice), but he will definitely be a consistent 30 goal scorer and those do not grow on trees.
