If we do manage to get Grigs which I think we will as Edmonton desperately needs a blue chip defenseman and this is the draft to get one. I'd see Grigs (if ready for the NHL) starting on the 3rd line behind dd and Plex.
Eller 4th line or winger as he's the weakest player at centre IMO.

Personally, I thought the Habs should of tried dealing Plekanec at the deadline...so it'll be interesting to see how this all plays out because to me, Desharnais and Eller are two of the players that have shown the most growth and I hate to think the coaching staff will continue to stunt their growth by stubbornly playing Plekanec in a top 6 role.

I am still of the opinion that one of Plekanec or Desharnais should be moved for picks and prospects. Especially if we Draft Grigorenko or Galchenyuk.

Pick Aberg, Collberg, Faksa, Gaunce etc..
Go balls out to sign Suter and Parise:
Parise - Plekanec - Cole
Pacioretty - Eller - Gionta
Bourque - Grigorenko - Leblanc
Prust - White - Moen
If we don't get Parise, oh well we are a rebuilding team right now and might have a shot at MacKinnon.
I like this...Eller has skill, but if we keep Plek and Grig is ready then Eller should be bumped to the wing. Of course this is assuming we don't pick up any UFAs.

Plekanec on the third line? I can see it, but Eller on the fourth line? No.
nothing wrong with having depth at centre...
as talented as those 2 guys are, there's is no certainty that they are ready for a full-blown top6 role... likelihood is that they aren't.
RNH is more of an exception to the rule, as opposed to what's to be expected.
If they are too good to return to Jr's, nothing wrong with using them the way the B's did with Seguin, playing 3rd line winger role (and we have an obvious "need" in top-9 offensive talent).

Everybody after Yakupov up front needs another year in junior.
Grigorenko it would create a problem since he may get big KHL offers so the team drafting him may have to rush him.
IMO the phrase "too good for junior" gets thrown around too much. Fans see gaudy point totals and assume there's nothing more to learn. Even if there are moments and games that these top players find easy, there are always tough opponents, the challenge to maintain consistency and the WJC. During the lockout season, prospects (some of whom might otherwise have made the big leagues) like Phaneuf, Perry, Carter and Richards played their 19 year old seasons in juniors, I think it's hard to argue it set them back.
I can't see going into next season with Gionta, Plekanec, DD, Gomez not to mention Leblanc all as part of the group of forwards. One of the biggest failures of the Gainey'Gauthier "plan" was having way too many of the same type and size of player, both at forward and now on D as well. Eller is a centre, period. He's thrived at that spot and been terrible on the wing. Gomez will have to be dealt with, Gionta will be back, DD has proven himself as a viable #2 centre. That leaves Plekanec. I love the guy as a player, but if he can be packaged either for a large skilled winger or big shut down defenceman(assuming Grigorenko or Galcheynuk are drafted and play next year...a major assumption, I know), I'd seriously consider it if I was the next GM of the Habs. I expect a big strong #4 centre to be signed or acquired over the summer too. The Habs are too small and too easy to play against and management and most observers know that. Plekanec may be part of the solution by being moved, which I acknowledge is a risky move.

Lets see him in camp before we cut him. If he does well, then he can have the 9 game tryout.
If he goes back he goes back, but you shouldnt write him off yet
