Opener should be good. I'm thinking 3-0 win. Hopefully the southsiders are a little more organized this year, as it certainly adds to the atmosphere when they are going crazy.

IIRC the management had tired their hands a bit last year and put several restrictions.
I'm doing the double dip on Saturday. BC Place in the afternoon, Rogers Arena at night. It shall be glorious. Better be a sweep of victories via domination.

All Montreal, all the time. What a day to be a sports fan in Vancouver or Montreal.
From reading the board the FO has been night and day with their dealings with the VSS this year. From this point on I think the only one the VSS can blame for poor outings will be themselves. Tonight at their package pick up event The Duze even came by for a Q&A. Everything is looking up for this year and I am pumped.
The club is actively helping the VSS and I think you will see the difference this year.
There will also be a new supporters group called the Curva Collective...from the VSS board

Southside Nation,
For virtually the past decade I have been blessed to be a part of the Southside community. One of the most meaningful things has been the development of long lasting relationships. Another important element has been the desire to support the Club/Players to the best of our abilities. And, even when the group was smaller with a less formal structure, the longing to grow the atmosphere in the ground. It seems like these are still at the heart of the group today. With the Club moving into MLS the growth of the section itself has happened both naturally and through a lot of hard work by the Board of Directors and many other devoted individuals. One concern that has seemed to come up in various ways, both on the Forum and in discussion in the stadium, is how to spread the atmosphere throughout the ground. This complex issue is one of the reasons for this thread.
A group of current Southsiders, former Southsiders, old ‘Caps’ fans, and new ‘Caps’ fans have come together to form a new supporters’ group of Vancouver Whitecaps FC. The name of this group is Curva Collective. The group will be located in Teal section 203/204. This group will seek to spread quality atmosphere at Whitecaps’ matches. There will be some elements that will be similar to, and find their origins in the history of, the Southside and others that will be more nuanced. Together, as those that love the ‘Caps, it is going to be great to see things progress even further in 2012 as more and more people in the ground engage supporters’ culture in meaningful ways.
Like many, most, or all of you, I long for the day when everyone that comes to a ‘Caps’ match is passionately involved by standing (as able), singing, and participating in tifo. This endeavour…Curva Collective…is one step towards achieving this goal.

Woot! Got my ticket. Just checked out my virtual seat. Super stoked to go to the new BC Place...I haven't been there since 1996 when I saw the Lions play.
Coming over from the island to hit the Caps and Nucks games! First Canucks game since game 7 against Chicago (glorious) and first Caps game ever. Look for me, I'll be the drunk guy making tasteless French jokes.
