Btw, have to ask that how much Devin Dubnyk develops in this game? I'm having asst. coach at level three, I think..
Well, it depends, if he is a full time starter (which I suppose he isn't, Varlamov?) then he should develop well. But if he's the back up, well, that's a different story. I like to keep only one young, still developing goaltender if the NHL (if I have one) and keep the other young ones in the AHL so they can develop better and faster. I guess that didn't help haha.

Well he has played as starter of Lake Erie since I claimed him off, so I think that could be good for his development. He has already developed one level from 82 to 83 in this season. I'm looking for if he could be something like 85 in two years and then trade him. I could sign him for two year deal in summer.

Ok that's good, he should develop there and give your AHL affiliate a good goaltender.

Yup, Lake Erie has made it route to second round of AHL-playoffs. If they get to finals, then Duchene and Kane will help them too. I love my organization, for because how deep it is.

Did you fall of playoffs games? Now 1 period played on season last game against San Jose Sharks, it's nil-nil.
In the upcoming seasons my teams is currently loaded with draft picks.
Next year alone I have 6 1st round draft picks. The year after I currently have 5 1sts. Some of those are probably going to be shipped out.

Our reporter Tom Wilson went to interview the Kings GM Larry Sather on monday, after Kings morning ices.
Wilson: Hello and good morning to you and congratulates for winning the regular season.
Sather: Good morning for you too and thanks.
Wilson: What do you expect at this year playoffs?
Sather: At least the conference final place, and if we get there then it's Stanley Cup
Wilson: How do you plan to play playoff goaltenders?
Sather: Received in this way (at least against the Avalanche) : 1st game: Quick, 2nd game: Quick, 3rd game: Bishop, 4th game: Quick, (5th game: Quick, 6th game: Bishop, 7th game: Quick)
Wilson: Who was the best player of LA Kings in the regular season?
Sather: If we take from the beginning so it's Anže Kopitar and if in the middle of the season came so then Dany Heatley.
Wilson: Thanks for interview Larry Sather and good luck for playoffs!
On my 2022-23 season and sadly it doesn't look like there's many good prospects, I guess I can always try and last minute trade a couple of them before the draft starts. I figure it would be one of the more awkward starts to a draft.
Sorry for the bad image quality. I has sad photo device.
No one expected this, not out of the East anyways. In a strange turn of events, the top four sides were knocked out of the first round, setting up some interesting matchups in the second round. In the first East showdown, it's the first official Battle of Florida as the Lightning will host the Panthers to start the second round. The Panthers have taken a long road to get here, as it was a hard-fought series against the regular season champion Washington Capitals that earned them their second round berth. In what was mostly a tight defensive series, the Panther broke open the floodgates in Game 7 and won by a score of 5-2. Meanwhile, the Lightning needed just six games to oust the Philadelphia Flyers from the postseason, relying heavily on goaltender Dwayne Roloson to stem the tide in a 3-1 win in Game 6. Keep your eyes peeled on this series, as the first Battle of Florida gets underway.
6. 7.
The Buffalo Sabres will take on the New York Rangers in the second round of the playoffs, after both teams knocked out their higher-seeded opponents in the quarterfinals. The Sabres outlasted the defending Cup champion Boston Bruins through six games, backed by Jhonas Enroth and Brad Boyes (Miller got injured in Game 1). Meanwhile, the Rangers roughed up the Pittsburgh Penguins, stifling scoring champion Sidney Crosby and holding him to just 2 goals and 3 assists through the six game series. Both teams rely heavily on their goaltenders, so expect this to be another low scoring, defensive affair.

In what was very little surprise at all, the Los Angeles Kings had their way with the Columbus Blue Jackets in the first round, eventually winning the series 4-1. It was far from a close series, and Jeff Carter was sure happy to be on the winning side after being traded near the deadline this season. His four goals have tied him for second in the league, and he seemed to embrace the boos that rained down on him in Columbus. The Chicago Blackhawks, however, are coming off an impressive 4-2 series win over the Colorado Avalanche. Marian Hossa leads the league in playoff goals at this point, and the Kings will need to shut down the top line of Hossa, Jonathan Toews, and Patrick Sharp in order to make it out of this series.
2. 3.
The Calgary Flames have surprised everyone, moving past the San Jose Sharks in a 7 game series that saw Mark Giordano score in overtime of Game 7 to put the Flames in the second round for the first time since 2004. Meanwhile, the Sharks continue to struggle in the postseason, this time bowing out extremely early by their standards. The Detroit Red Wings will have been well-rested to start this series, as they eliminated the Edmonton Oilers in just five games, so they will hope to shake off any rust early in hopes of continuing their dominance over the Flames.
The Tampa Bay Lightning have a significant edge in the Battle of Florida. After knocking off the Florida Panthers in Game 7, they will now play host to the New York Rangers, who are coming off a series clinching win over the Buffalo Sabres in a series that also went the distance. The Lightning will look to get their offense going against a strong defense-first Rangers squad, while the Rangers will once again rely on Henrik Lundqvist to carry the load for them.

Kings and Wings? Has a nice ring to it. After both going seven games in their respective series' the two teams will start the series at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The Wings eliminated the Calgary Flames in Game 7 at the Saddledome, so don't be surprised if the Red Wings take one game - or maybe both - on the road to start this series. Meanwhile, the Kings went the distance with the Chicago Blackhawks but came out on top and will hope to prove that youth can trump experience in the limelight.

Following dismal season, Sens GM Jacob says 'nowhere to look but up for future'
Jason Spezza led Ottawa in scoring with 80 points.
The Ottawa Senators' 2011-2012 was expected to be bad. However, they exceeded expectations with their 36-37-9 record, putting them 23rd overall in the NHL. Many analysts were pegging them to finish in the bottom 3. GM Little Jacob talked to the media today following the conclusion of the team's final game, a 3-2 triumph over the New Jersey Devils. When asked about his thoughts on the season and the future, GM Jacob said 'I was happy with this season's results. We were pegged to be bottom feeders, and although we didn't exactly do great, we did better than we thought we would. Our future is very bright. Great young talent on the NHL roster and in juniors. I'm really excited for the next few years. There's nowhere to look but up'. Ottawa fans hope so.
The Sens got the biggest fish in the free agent pool, Nicklas Lidstrom.
The Ottawa Senators come into the 2012-2013 season with most of the same team from last year, but with a living legend on 'D' - Nicklas Lidstrom. Also, young Swedish phenom Robin Lehner takes over as backup. Lidstrom said he's excited to be joining the Sens. 'This is most likely my final year, so I'm motivated to help this team contend' Lidstrom said. 'We're a young squad, but we are getting better'. Jason Spezza agrees. 'Yeah, we want to win. It will be tough, but I think we'll get it done'. Here are Ottawa's lines for the new season.
Milan Michalek(84) - Jason Spezza(88) - Colin Greening(82)
Kyle Turris(84) - Mike Fisher(83) - Bobby Butler(80)
Nick Foligno(82) - Brian Boyle(81) - Nikita Filatov(78)

Hey, Any thoughts about what a "realistic" type trade would be to get up to #2 in the 2012 draft. I want Grigerenko (84 OVR A- b- A-) and I know Yakupov is going first.
I have the #6, 7, and 23 picks, plus the 46 in the second round. Im playing as the Sabres.
I think I can package together something like #6 + #23 + Andrej Sekera (84 OVR CCC) for the 2nd overall pick and some roster fill in...

But is that realistic or not?
That should work. I always move my expiring contracts that I no longer want with a pick or two for any 1st or 2nd rounders.
Why wouldn't you want both Yakupov and Grigerenko? I prefer Galchenyuk over Grigerenko.
