The Sharks are drafting their pick soon...

Sharks announce that they have drafted LW Brendan Leipsic from the Portland Winterhawks.

Trade To Announce

Team AAcquiredTeam BAcquired
Brenden MorrowMark Streit

We are very pleased to welcome Brenden's leadership into our locker room as we continue to prepare for another deep stanley cup run. Since the trade deadline, we have added a great group of character players that will continue to give everthing they have to win a stanley cup.

I honestly don't recall doing this deal, but I was likely drunk or something and I cant find the PMs so I'll take your word for it. Regardless, it's good to add veteran leadership to the back end. Welcome aboard Mark!

Hahaha, I remember this deal being finalized with THC because OilBleeder was taking forever on his end. I just never posted it. Sadly, Ive been so busy with the other game that I deleted all my old PMs. Pretty fair trade, a captain for a captain. Streit is top 15 in scoring by defencemen this year so I can't see him being a bad addition.

The next time you start drinking heavily maybe send me a PM regarding Benn or Loui!

I don't know if he's been picked, or who's really up, but I nominate Matt Tomkins

Happy to select with the 148th pick, from the Barrie Colts of the Ontario Hockey League...

Eric Locke

Don’t let the small height fool you; Eric Locke will go into all of the dirty areas. The Toronto, Ontario native started last season with the Windsor Spitfires but finished the season with the Barrie Colts following a mid-season trade.

Locke is a pure goal scorer, he has an elite shot and elite hands. His skating ability is above average and he is a very capable penalty killer. Locke is not the kind of player who is a pure sniper and a defensive reliability. Locke will play the defensive role if asked.

The one limiting factor to Eric going as high as the first round is his size. He is a very smart player and finds ice by bumping off players to find space in the slot but you cannot teach a player to grow. I really like his game more and more every game I see him play in. I expect him to have the same effect on the scouts as well.

Sorry--got a chance to jump on a plane and take in the Ak Bars v Salavat Yulaev playoff game in the KHL]

Just saw Alexander Radulov play a few great shifts and then go MIA for five more

Should we just call it a draft after round 5?

Probably for the best, besides that we do not really need two fantasy games going at once.
