Phase 16 is when they call him up next season and then throw honey on him with rice crispies and tell him he'd been waived and picked up by the Blue Jackets.
The injuries have come in waves the last 3 seasons, what's the deal? This isn't a bad as last season, but still, I don't remember anything like this previous to the 2009-2010 season.
The Red Wings have recalled Joakim Andersson from @griffinshockey of the American Hockey League.
Who would he be filling in for?
Nice, all the Griffins I want to see in Detroit next year are playing now! Plus Conner, he's not a real bonafide NHL'er but he's been awesome this year. Let our big guns rest up and let our young guns get some legit NHL experience. Can't wait for tonight's game!
Abby has the flu and is a game time decision. Both Abby and Andersson will take the pre-game skate.
Zetterberg is playing.
Abby has the flu and they are bringing him into the locker room? Just what we need: to get the guys who are actually healthy sick. I am an Abdelkader fan but really dude I think we can have you rest up for a game and not get everyone else sick. Andersson can lock down that 4th line center spot.

I always wonder why the players don't get flu shots actually.
We should just rename the team the Detroit Griffins and move all the Griffins players up. Jokes aside, ****, the teams dropping like flies. Though I like how players like Nyquist, Smith and Andersson are getting more NHL experience because they're definitely going to be regulars next year and for the next 10 years or so.

Because it's not a full blown flu, most of the times it's just fever/sore throat/stomach issues/cold... Not exactly full blown blu where your body aches, can hardly walk, vomits 24/7, extreme fever, need fluids into veins etc. You can't freaking play if you have the real flu.
I don't get why they call it flu in north america (or atleast in the nhl) when it's not.

We all overstate things when calling in sick, I guess.
How is Brunstrom doing in the AHL? I know he can't really be called up since he'll be subjected to waivers when sent down. But doubt any team would pick him up cause he's UFA to be(IIRC) and can't be on playoff roster if picked up.
