Very happy for Max! Funny because there was concerns about his ability to score goals in his first couple of years of pro hockey and was mostly an assists guy. Then last year in Hamilton he really started lighting the lamp and managed to carry it over to Montreal before and after the incident. Really hope he keeps it up.

Um... I actually predicted 38 goals on the dot.

Also Patches is second in goals for American players. Kessel is in first and plays for the Leafs.

IMO Lupul shouldn't get it because he came back and played 52 games last year.
But OT, congrats Max! I was hoping he'd get 30 this year and I'm glad to see he has exceeded my expectations!

Luckily, the Habs fans didn't have their way and run him out of town when his confidence was down because like a good majority of hockey fans , they don't believe having confidence or any other mental mumbo-jumbo has anything to do with on-ice performance.

He came awfully close to that. Less than an inch. Just because he turned out alright doesn't mean it wasn't an extremely dangerous situation.

True but still had surgery and no one expected that kind of season from him. Hey I want Patches to get it I just think Lupul will make it hard for the voters

Max is a very good player, and he deserves the success. Glad to see he has healed up well and he should continue to be a pretty dominant power forward for years to come on that team.

Gotta give credit where it's due: Chara straightened up that kid. He could be nicknamed The Edukator.
