I'm in the English program, and all of them wear leggings.
But yeah, I'm not going to venture to far into the topic. I don't want to discover the boundaries, the hard way. That, and I'm just awkward in these types of conversations.
I happen to be a girl and the only time I wear tights (of the 3/4 kind anyways) is when I am working out (i'm talking about the Gym, Walking, Touch Rugby or any form of exercise). I won't wear them any other time except for around the house.
Oh and another thing, I recently found out that I am going to be an Auntie again (this time for real) later on this year thanks to my sister and her Fiance.
I am already eyeing this baby monitor in the local Apple Shop that's iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch compatible for them (as my Sis has an iPhone as do I except she has a 4 whereas I have a 4S).
Also, I randomly met this exchange student from Germany who is here on a soccer scholarship at another small university nearby.....I was wearing my Pens hoodie and she is a Wings fan (but super hot) so we were talking hockey. I asked if she had been to any games this year. She went to a Wings/Coyotes game and was in LA for the Pens game where Kunitz got the game winner in the shootout after tying it with just a few minutes left to force OT.
Anyway, she claims she slept with Fleury and Staal, lol. It was just so random. I tried to get her to clarify if she meant at the same time, but she was very over the conversation at that point.
that's some really interesting stuff. i've only read Benjamin's Illuminations and parts of Negri/Hardt's Empire. Right now i'm working my way through Spanos' America's Shadow, but i'm only a dabbler - hopefully I can pick your brain sometime.
Feel free to drop me a PM anytime. I would highly recommend Adorno's Minima Moralia, which I think is an absolutely essential text for understanding what is going on today. As far as Negri goes, if you are at all interested in reading more, it is interesting to check out his reflections on being a political prisoner. I'm not sure how much biographical details is explained in the Empire trilogy, but he was accused of being a terrorist and in fact many people still think this is true (especially that he was responsible for the assassination of Aldo Moro, a Christian Democrat and prime minister of Italy). Anyways, the book was recently translated into English and is just called Diary of an Escape. The other books in the Empire trilogy are also worth it, and Negri is also very good at being an interviewee, notwithstanding the hatchet job by that plagiarist reactionary idiot Johann Hari from the UK.
Today I learned of DPR's auto-erotic asphyxiation fetish.
...wait, what?
Yeah, because there's....anything at all sub about me. Right.
I like criminally-insane type crazy ****** is all. They're more interesting than run-of-the mill crazy, and crazy is good in the sack. As long as you never actually start to care about them, you can usually come out unharmed. Plus, I haven't done anything insane or stupid in a really long time, 'cause I'm getting old
Today you learned that DPR is a high-functioning sociopath...which might actually be true.
The Frankfurt school is interesting. I don't agree with them 100%, but I rely pretty heavily on Benjamin (as well as Adorno and Habermas) in parts of my own work. Though, as I work more and more with film, I find that I rely less and less on their theories and more on Baudrillard and Debord and the Situationists. Which means I'll have to learn French eventually.
Oh well. At least if I ever meet Johnny Rotten, we can talk about the Situationists International.

This...seems a little redundant, no?
And how old is old? I feel like the grumpy old man of these boards.
No, it's not. Most women are crazy. I like the subset who are criminally insane, as opposed to the subset who are cripplingly insecure, the subset who are ambitious beyond all rationality, the kind who are obsessed with some superficial entertainment or adornment beyond all rationality, the subset who suffer from borderline personality disorder, etc. I find most of the subsets of crazy women too boring to carry on a prolonged sexual relationship with, unless they're strictly a booty call; the criminally insane type is interesting.
I also like crazy cat ladies, because even though they aren't necessarily interesting, cats are endlessly fascinating.

You seem like an interesting guy, even if your entire motivation for these women is sexual.
Edit: I should mention that wasn't meant to be a dig.

Thank you. I am an interesting guy. Not a lot of people can say that their four favorite things (besides the obvious) are football, hockey, writing and cats.
I have sexual and intellectual motives for getting to know women, actually. It's just that the intellectual relationship is not always reciprocal.
The thing I lack that most "normal" people have is the emotional motive.
I was at work earlier and jokingly told someone that they could kill a co-worker if they didn't like them. I was joking but I think they took it seriously.
