Predict home and home vs Sabres

Tuesday in Montreal and Thursday in Buffalo. No team has ammassed more points or more wins in the last 35 games then Buffalo (26-6-3). Also Buffalo is one of the best teams at home like us except on the road they're also the best among eastern teams. On paper they might not look dangerous but they have players like Kotalik and Afinogenov and Briere and Vanek, guys who forecheck hard, play with energy and passion and are a fast team who really relies on goaltending much like us. So what do you expect? A split? Two losses? Two wins?

My heart: Montreal wins both games 5-3 and 2-0 (another shutout! lol)

My head: Montreal loses away and wins a close one at home. 4-2 and 3-2

Ill say a win at home cuz im going at the game im 7-2-0 this year and one lost was at the panthers arena in Sunrise.

In buffalo im not sure but i think if theo is in net he will have to play his best game of the year (wich isnt hard to do) and i think he will so ill say another win in Buffalo

im going to go all out and go with a 2-0 record. The team right now is hot, special teams are awsome, are goaltending is awsome and are d is scoring goals. If we dont fold vs the sabres we should win at least 1 and hopefuly both games.

hypothetically speaking, if Huet gets another shutout on tuesday, there's no way I can see Theo in for Thursday.

I truly believe that we wont see Theodore back in net for montreal until sometime after the olympic break as long as huet holds up his end of the bargain from now until the end of the week.

I can see us getting swept, but I hope it doesn't happen. Would be nice to get a split or even one point out of this.

I'm a Sabres fan, but there's no need to be cocky on Montreal's board.

The Habs and the Sabres always seem to play tight games, and I don't think the respective positions in the standings will change that.

Frankly, I think the Sabres are primed for a letdown after two huge wins over Philly and Ottawa. I'd be satisfied with a split.

To you Habs fans - I hope you guys pull it together (well, maybe not this week ) and make the playoffs. I'd much rather see you guys in it than Toronto, Atlanta, or the Isles.

The first playoff game I ever went to was a Buffalo-Montreal playoff game, so I have a soft spot for them.

Could that be in 1998?

It was!

I got to witness, first-hand, the only hat trick Matthew Barnaby will ever score. Had great seats for that game too.

All I really remember from that game was Hasek making one incredible save after another. And I remember Barnaby getting the puck just inside the blue line and shooting it into the EN for the hat trick. Matthew Barnaby, for crying out loud. It was ridiculous.

But yeah, those teams were all about Hasek, and defensive play by both defense and forwards. I would say the Habs definitely had the better offensive talent in that series, but Hasek was really at the top of his game in those years (though he's not looking too bad this year).

Would be good to have more of a rivalry with the Sabres, besides calling eachother c- teams that is.
I don't like the Sabres or Ottawa but thre's no real sense of hate, not enough hate to go around while Boston and Toronto are around I guess.

Yeah Matt Barnaby hat trick The goaltending displayed by Hasek in that series was unreal and probably the best goaltending performance against the habs in 25 years.
