seriously though if he gets on the ice, itll do wonders for hockey in america. dunno how itd work but if he played a preseason nhl game, espn would pay huge $$$ to televise it, cause its ochocinco

The wording on those tweets remind me of a first grader trying to make new friends lol.

Add Larry Brooks in a curmudgeonly neighbor role like Mr. Roeper and you can count me as a viewer.

Ochocinco isn't a jerk or a primadonna, imo. I just think he happens to be crazy. Like "Hey, mom. It's Chad. Darth Vader from the planet Melmac called me on the phone last night. He wanted me to show him where to get shoes" crazy.

What I'm really curious about is who told him about malkin and OV and what did they say, exactly? "Ocho, you gotta see what these ugly russians can do?"

What does that matter? Look at his last season, calling him mediocre is being very generous. He didn't say anything about his career, just what he is now.

I would watch that reality show, Ocho and Geno: The New Odd Couple.

I think Chad is funny and any new fan to hockey is OK with me no matter who it is. If it gives attention to this great game then even better.

That is gold! I hope in the future, once this nickname is common terminology, people will credit you with it. Perfect nickname for geno! CPHawksfan said it first. Siete Uno indeed.

I agree. When big name athletes from other more popular sports have an interest in hockey it can't hurt the NHL.

hopefully some football fans see this and say "hey my favorite football player is hanging around or friends or whatever with this hockey player. I'll check out his game". Anything that makes hockey players look cool and appear to be stars is good. No matter how insubstantial and shallow that is. People are attracted to cool people.

He'd have to hope that the screen works and he doesn't have to deal with a rebound because I don't forsee him making many 15 foot slot shots...

^^^^^ This

it only draws attention to our sport and introduces people who would normally not interested in hockey to check it out. Its a win win situation. And Ocho is a great athlete.
