Beers said it this morning. We're a whopping 1 pt off of last years pace. With key personnel down, that's not so bad, is it? People need to turn the whining factor down just a little bit.
not sure if you are married and have kids but if you ever do, maybe they'll be a Bruins fan and someday maybe due to some gamesmanship, some arse clown will send your daughter off to some other area- if she calls you, you can tell her ' what a hoot, just gamesmanship, honey
and as for tension- rudos works with me, and can vouch the guys I work with read this and thought the same and I had the nicest comment
5 older guys from Buffalo and a group of 6 21 year old's.
When you send them towards Oak Grove when they need to go to State is out of line especially at 11 at night.
Yes the T is easy to get around however if you have to switch trains and you're from out of town it can be daunting even if you've mapped it out ahead of time.
Both parties were drinking but that is no excuse.
I tease Buffalo fans and my good friend a lot but that's in good fun. This kind of stuff crosses the line and reflects poorly on Bruins fans and people from Boston.
I agree. I was in Boston for the banner raising ceremony and found the Subway easy to navigate, but I did have to ask directions once and was treated very nicely by the young man and his friends. They ask me were I was from and what I was doing in Boston. Told them I was from Canada and was there to see the B's and Tampa Bay. These are the kind of people every city hopes they have. You don't want someone going back home and remembering a bunch of idiots telling the wrong directions. That will get around in a hurry and others may think twice about visiting

yup cause telling a group of 20 something sabres fans (im assuming like college males) to hop on the wrong T-line from north station is the same as telling a young girl by herself the wrong way to go.
what i find ironic is you and your colleagues are perched on your high horse of moral superiority denouncing this little prank which i found mildly amusing and fairly harmless and your "mild" reaction is to insinuate that im a loser and a dumb-ass dolt. be careful you dont let that halo on your head slip down around your neck.
and for an extra layer of irony apparently you have no use for the dumb-ass dolts that permeate our society... you know like the dumb-***** who travel to an unfamiliar city and dont have the foresight to research the public transportation. not much excuse to botch public transportation in this day an age with internet and gps at your fingertips.
just last year i made my first trip to ny city (business related) 1 day drove 5+ hours each way tight schedule by myself had to stop in the bronx then use the train to go about into downtown ny (not far from time square) for a meeting. infinitely more complicated system even had 40 min to kill and used the handy devise called a smart phone to pull up a map and walk about 12 blocks to time square. zero issues. a few people made comments about my red sox hat and i used common sense to keep my distance from the large menacing looking dude with a leather yankees jacket complete with patches for every championship.
i too have little use for dumb-ass dolts of society thats why i support teaching them valuable lessons about preparation and that you should never trust a stranger particularly one with obvious bias against you.
plus they were leaving a bruins game which means there were a couple thousand people packing onto the trains its not like they were waltzing into dorchester at midnight. someone foiled this little prank before they even got on the wrong train. its like your extrapolating that a 20 min t-ride in the wrong direction is the same as droping them off in the middle of death valley and uttering an evil cackle as they struggle to survive.
either way this little argument has amused me during my lunch break and then some. ill let you get the last word and wrap this up before a mod locks it up.

well said. That's why i always go out of my way to help tourists since whether you like it or not you are indeed an ambassador of sorts for wherever you happen to live. But while travelling you should always take precautions anyway. I was recently in Toronto and the folks couldn't have been nicer regarding directions and mass transit help, but even still i always confirmed the info given me with bus drivers, token takers, etc.
Granted it helped a lot that I speak one of the 2 official languages in Toronto fluently, which is of course English. The 2nd language I'm afraid i don't understand at all, that of course being Chinese.
Actually, that's a brilliant place to practice fly fishing casting. Would never have thought of doing that on the ice....
I prepare for bonefish and permit fishing trips in the winter by casting on the frozen lake in front of my house. Unfortunately when the lake is frozen it also means that so is your flyline. Warm weather line doesn't cast well at 50 let alone 0. I would love to have heated area and a clean sheet of ice. Maybe Chia and I could throw a few flies....
sabres played a perfect road game for 40 mins and then ran out of gas in the 3rd, which is to be expected. 2nd game of back to backs, 3rd in 4 nights, etc. Same thing will happen to us on sunday afternoon against Pens. If we are only ahead by one, or tied or worse after 2 then we're done for in the 3rd.

Could be rough. Gotta get some quick ones and finish their checks, hard. hopefully they take it easy sat night

It's true, but thankfully CJ was able to roll everyone pretty evenly last night. I sure hope it's the same story tomorrow, as that will likely make things a whole lot easier on Sunday.

At least it looks like Crosby may be backing out - big bad "French Fry" Krejci can relax and play better not having to worry about putting him out again.

when i saw the 4th line being rolled out regularly in the 2nd (and the fact that they played so well) that made me confidant that if we were just down by one after 2 their legs would start giving out in the 3rd. The late goal by Soup was just an added bonus. You know as well as i do that when it comes to the 2nd leg of a back to back it's the 3rd period that is the roughest for the travelling team, not the 1st 2 periods.
Lately, even in many of the games they have lost, they have outplayed the competition but haven't been able to bury the scoring chances. Julien has some tweaking to do and the injuries hurt, but I'm not worried. I thought last night was going to be another one of those games, especially when Seguin failed to score on the breakaway, but the boys stuck with it and pulled out the win.
Here's hoping for a good 10 goals or more the next few games!
