as a hab fan i think he'll be a consistent 30-35 goal scorer. the kid just turned 23. can he hit 40? yes, but a couple of things will need to go right - habs pp has to improve and habs have to get better
lol
that being said i don't think he'll be a consistent 40 goal scorer. that's stamkos / (younger) ovechkin territory. it's the new holy grail
He can be a 40 goal scored just like Kulemin can be.
Who is this Kulemin fellow your talking about.I checked the goal scorers down till i hit 10 and never seen his name. Are you sure you got the name right.
Just looked at the Max Pacioretty 30 goal thread. How good could he be? It is his first full season, he's not playing with much help on the Canadians, and though I haven't seen too much of his play, he seemed pretty confident.
Thoughts.
EDIT: I'm not a Habs fan.

Reason: Clarification
I think his best season could be 40g-40a, but usually will expect something more along the lines of 30-30. he's already hit that level this season, so i guess it's just a matter of seeing how much better he can get. but i expect him to be a 50-65 point guy for the foreseeable future
Ah habs fans, starting a thread on MP every 5 minutes because their team is terrible. They need to trade him away for draft picks due to how terrible their team is.
I haven't seen any MaxPac threads here so I'll comment.
The guy racks up the shot totals. When you do that, some are going to go in. I think he'll be a 40 goal scorer at some point. He might be able to do better but 50 might be a little high. I'd love to see it but there aren't too many 50 goal men in this league any more.
I think he has the skill to be a consistent 35-40 goal scorer and that's good enough.
You say hes not getting much help. Most other Habs fans say his lone is one of the best in hockey. Which is it?
Is english your first language? I don't really understand the point your trying to make:/

The OP is a Sens fan genius.
As for the original question, I think this fits into the "Can Pacioretty reach 40 goals" topic. I see him as a solid 30ish goal guy long term. One or two 40 goal seasons are possible, but it would have to be a perfect storm of situations. He's got a tantalizing combination of size, speed and skill with a strong shot which should mean that this isn't a fluke season. That being said, he doesn't really have that elite talent in an aspect of his game that you really look for in top scorers. He's looking like a top-line scorer and a primary scoring threat, but not someone that you should be exclusively building your offense around.

the OP says Max isn't getting much help on the Canadiens. Other people on this site have created threads saying he plays on one of the best lines in hockey with Cole and Desharnais. That is a contradiction.

The "Max isn't getting much help" is false, except on the PP. With an efficient power-play, Pacioretty could have probably already reached 35 goals at this point.
On even strength, Max is playing with great line-mates, so the "Max would be close to Stamkos if he had a superstar center" argument is just some pipe dreams of over ecstatic Habs fans.
