Imagine a couple of years from now (presumably):

Silfverberg - Zibanejad - Stone

I like that, but I think one of Silfverberg or Stone will end up on Spezza's line to stay (assuming a couple years from now Alfie is retired ).

Zibby has already changed to wing, his skills are better accustomed there for the wing position anyways.

CCHA (Quarterfinals)

LW Jeff Costello (#7 Notre Dame) vs #2 Michigan

D Chris Wideman (#4 Miami University[Ohio]) vs #5 Michigan State

*Ohio State is out so Max McCormick and Ryan Dzingel's seasons are done.

ECAC (Quarterfinals)

LW Brad Peltz (#6 Yale) vs #3 Harvard

*Princeton is out so Michael Sdao's season is done.

WCHA (Opening round)

D Ben Blood (#4 North Dakota) vs #9 Bemidji State

D Bryce Aneloski (#7 Nebraska-Omaha) vs #6 St. Cloud State
Thanks for this, never realized that NCAA signing season was so close. We lose the rights to Wideman and Blood after August 15th so lets get them to Bingo asap. Blood seems like a definite but anyone believe that we will sign Wideman?

Isn't Wideman a PMD? aka what they've been missing this season down there

Petersson wont play NHL IMO, minimum in Sens. Reguraly of course, IMO he will play in Europe the next seasons.

From what I understand most Universities allow student atheletes to finish their degree after their career is over. He come up, starts making money, wins 15 cups with the Ottawa Senators () and then has the opportunity to finish the final year of his degree. I’m sure he could also take courses during the summers or by correspondence if he does not want to wait that long.

On the other hand, if he goes back for his senior year and blows out his knee playing for Princeton he might miss his chance at having a professional career.

I think they will sign both Blood & Wideman, afterall it was Murray that drafted both of them. I also hope Murray is able to sign one or two free agent NCAA defencmen.

Yes, he would make a good partner with Boroweicki.

I know you can't stand any player under 6'4 but Petersson's numbers are not far off what Claude Giroux's were in his AHL time. Giroux and Petersson are similar in size and skating ability.

It's not too farfetched to think that Petersson could be a poor man's Giroux in a few years.

Why do we need Giroux if we have in David "Milan Lucic" Dziurzinski?

I must say, what a pick-up by Murray to get Dziurzinski. He's been real solid. Character player. It seems everyone Murray signs or makes a minor trade for becomes a solid piece of the BIG team.

7th round pick for Klinkhammer...Guy is playing on our top 6.
Signed an UNKNOWN Dziurzinski now he's playing a vital role for the B-sens and has strong bottom 6 upside.

I don't wanna get ahead of myself here but damn.

If you want to end the nhl, you're probably going to have to replace hoff with prince.

Then a 4th line of Dziurzynski-Smith-Greening with Klinkhammer as the 13th forward

I still want to see what Klinkhammer can really do. He could be an amazing 3rd liner for us.

Says Nugent-Hopkins lol. I see your point, nut at the same time he has solid size and is very talented. If Brandon gets eliminated and Stone joins the Black Aces group, don't be surprised if he earns himself some playing time and possibly steals a spot in the bottom six.

No way. Like N Bahn Ahden said it's a huge jump from the WHL to the NHL. Aside from that, dropping Condra and Daugavins, two of out better PK guys would be a mistake, who plays the PK in your lineup? I'm all for giving Zbad a look in Binghamton or a practice but don't pencil him in just yet.

Besides, that would be a huge slap in the face to guys like Condra, Daugavins and Butler who (while they have struggled a bit lately) have played hard for us all season.
Lol the same **** is happening to Carkner and Konopka. I don't see anyone complaining about that. At the end of the day the goal is to win games. If Zibanejad and Stone are better than Daugavins and Condra, then the former gets to play and the latter watches from the press box. Zibanejad is already an NHLer in terms of skill level and better than both of Condra and Daugavins. In pre=season and the first 9 regular season games, he looked like a decent third liner. He was sent back to Sweden because the sens want him to be a top six guy. Going into the playoffs, a guy like Zibanejad will add more to the team than either Daugavins or Condra.

As for Stone, the guy gets no love around here. Back to back seasons of dominating the WHL plus being one of the best if not the best player for team Canada in the WJHC. He is a big winger, who is solid a taking draws, has well above average offensive IQ and can be any of a sniper, playmaker or powerforward. Is he ready to walk into the NHL? I don't know, but I would like to see what he's got. I also think that a line of Zibanejad-Smith-Stone>>>Daugavins-Smith-Condra. Zbad is fast, hits like Neil is very solid defensively and has some damn good finish as well, Stone is the playmaker on the line who will set up Zbad mostly but will also be able to play the sniper role himself and Smith will be his good ole self by being very physical and aggressive and being very solid defensively.

If he can keep his hustle up, he could be an absolute steal for the sens. Seems like a late bloomer to me, kind of like Glencross, but I guess we will have to wait and see.

Hustle? To be honest, it doesn't even look like he is trying that hard. Just playing like he knows the game and what he's doing. I actually think he can turn it up even more.
