good god, I hope they're not thinking of re-signing him next year. Start Reimer, let go of Gus in the summer and sign a vet goalie for next season. Enough already.

Anyways, hoping for some kinda win streak.

go leafs go!
I think Carlyle wants to get a long look at Gustavsson so he'll have a more informed opinion when the decision is made to re-sign him or let him walk.

No doubt they will get a Starter for next year, the decision will be who to keep as a Backup. IMO, it'll be Reimer unless Gustavsson really plays well the rest of the year. Not much chance of that.

At this point neither Goalie has been very good, little difference who starts.

If we lose the margin of victory will be one goal.

7/8 of our past losses have been by one goal.

Losing by a softie. It's a shame the goaltending has been so crap this season. But that's the reality so they might as well just keep losing.

you know I read that a lot. I don't see it. I don't see how he has been clearly better than Reimer. I think they both stunk it up this year for the most part except for maybe a few spurts here and there. I'm not saying Reimer has been better than Gus. Not at all. But it's not like Gus has been way better than Reimer either. Let's put it this way, we lost 2 of the last 3 with Gus under Carlyle. That's a .33 win percentage. Crap.

But let me say it again for clarification. Reimer and Gus both stink. It's just that one is younger and signed for 3 years.

I guess it comes down to if one thinks Gus might be re-signed. I, like you, personally don't think there's any chance of that. Because Reimer will have to be moved. I don't see Reimer going anywhere when his stock is at an all time low. I say Reimer will have to be moved because I don't think there's any chance we go back with the same duo next year. That would be the making of another miserable year. I don't think Burke will survive that.

No man. Reimer has been CLEARLY worse than Gus this year.

Can't see how we can come back with these 2 again either. But who knows with Burke. He stuck with Wilson even though he now has admitted that they didn't agree on the type of team they wanted to ice.

actually it already is sealed, we're not making it...2-12 the last 14 games says the story no need to go any deeper than that.

+1. One of the two will be shipped out this offseason. With Reims getting that new contract there's little likelyhood that its him. Neither have been good or deserving to be on the team after this year, but Gus is clearly the odd man out due to contractual reasons.

Burke has been quoted many times saying that he has never seen a team like this fall off a cliff so quickly. I would say there is zero chance that he would keep this duo together for next season.

I really want us to succede and make the playoffs, but if we do like times past and do our usual drive for 9th than we might as well go for tank. Because 9th means no playoffs and a not so good draft pick.

Sign JS Aubin to go 15-0 for us and we are set for the playoffs What a disappointment 2005-06 was when we came 1 game short

Hopefully we can take advantage of their D. Oneof the top two lines will be up against either Carle and Gustafsson or Manning and Lilja, so hopefully they can exploit that.

The Bruins are actually trying to help the Leafs out. They feel a certain guilt about the 2010 draft.

Bruins lost all 3 games to Carolina,1 of 3 to the Islanders and gave the Habs 5 out of 10 points so it's not their fault the Leafs turn into puzzies every time we play them.
