About what time about was the disallowed goal? I missed the game, but I'm going to watch the highlights on gamecenter

The Oilers didn't deserve to win based on the first two periods but I don't sweat SO losses, especially when we're nowhere near a playoff spot. This is a tie. Whatever.

I get what the OP is saying minus the anger.
Renny is a coach who would rather show the kids how to respect the refs instead of coaching the way he should. He is quick to scold the kids, or give them death stares when they screw up, but doesn't have any of the players backs when it comes to something like this.
I am way over this clown - get us a coach who has played the game and understands how to read and react accordingly during the span of a hockey game.

Thank you, and I agree. Since the thread is closed and merged with the pgt this is basically my point. I have no faith in Renney and do not like how he coaches this team. The Oilers could have learned a lesson from the miss call today but instead lose another game and are left leaving Colorado as losers once again. (great way to build a winning mentality)

I'm glad that little puke Lendeskog didn't get a point. He sure isn't running around like he was that first game since he was learned a lesson by Sutton. The kid is the perfect example of how little guys can run around the rink these days with little to no consequence. People talk about Hall being reckless? This guy better keep his head up.

Don't even get me started on how anyone can say he deserves the Calder based on his 'intangibles' when he has only one point more than RNH in over 20 more games played. Absurd.

I didn't see the third but according to my friend Hemsky's disallowed goal came before Hall's tying goal. Awful call from what I'm hearing but I doubt that it has any bearing on the final score. Tis textbook butterfly effect - if Hemsky's goal stands then perhaps Hall doesn't score.

I want the Oilers to draft Murray so they won't be able to sell the fans on another offensive wunderkid. It's time to start being proactive.

Oh wow, according to Gagner the referees told him that the Hemsky goal was disallowed because he was in the crease. Wut.

We really are going back to dead puck hockey.

Wow, Gagner and the rest of the team are cowards. He should have blasted the officiating. When the heck did that rule change?

I liked the Smyth-Horcoff-Petrell line. Surprisingly effective.

Hemsky was magical for the most part especially the second half of the game. LOL at the disallowed goal. Poor guy can't buy a goal.

Sutton was ugly. Happy Birthday bro!

Hall was uglier. Of course he had to score, after a game like that. He kept losing the puck all game long. It was frustrating for me, for him mostly. haha.

Omark wasn't bad. Wasn't good. That line just doesn't make sense. At all. But surprisingly there were times were the puck was deep and they almost made something out of it. Omark was getting pushed off the puck way too easily though. Maybe because those Avs dmen are all 7 feet tall though.

Khabby was pretty good today. Not in the shootout, but he was steady out there. He was outside challenging more than usual.

It's funny every time we play the Avs, there seems to be a moment late in the game where they ice the puck 4-5 times in a row... that's annoying.

Refs continue to be the talk of the town... What's new?

You are assuming that the winner of this year's lottery won't be able to jump over us.

Gagner did blast the officials. They were posters in the GDT telling him to shut up for some reason.

Horcoff and Hemsky were the only ones doing anything in OT. Everytime Gagner-Hall or RNH-Eberle was on the ice they were hemmed in their own zone.

Renney should be all over the referees. If he's telling his players to back down and play nice with the officials then that's on him.

The Oilers have three defensemen who be counted on to take regular shifts next year: Smid, Petry, and Schultz. Sutton is an ideal 7th guy. The rest (Whitney, Potter, etc) are garbage and belong in the AHL.

They need to add at least two solid second pairing guys if they plan on being competitive. A goalie would be nice, too.

I'm sure that Tambi will get his way at the lottery table. He always does.

I am sure he wanted the Oilers to win today. I know I did, but am also cheering for Montreal to win.

Agreed, I was floored when Spector said RNH needed twenty (twenty!) more points than Landeskog to win the Calder. wtf?

I hate him almost as much as Damien Cox. Spector trashed the Oilers constantly before he became a regular on sportsnet. If he wasn't part of the homer crew he would be flinging his venom a lot more than he does.
