Ducks Recall Ryan O'Marra from Syracuse

With Nick Bonino being listed as day-to-day

Per Anaheim Ducks Twitter Feed :

Anaheim Ducks ‏ @AnaheimDucks Reply Retweet Favorite Open
Roster Move- #NHLDucks recall C Ryan O'Marra from #AHL @SyracuseCrunch.

No word on what number he will wear but a simple Yahoo search came up with him wearing 44, Part of me hopes this is not true as I still have a soft spot in my heart for the window licker/Eli to Scotty/Rob Nieds. If anyone has read any Scott interviews if we didn't have Rob we would have never had Scott and we would have never won the cup.

Anyways, Here comes another former 1st round bust that we give another chance to.

I'm very interested in what he can do. Hopefully he can be the 4th line center next season. Although, this might mean that Bonino is seriously injured.

Why isn't Holland called up? He would have an offensive 3rd line role with BB now the coach.

Probably so the staff can have a look at O'Marra, there is no guarantee that he will play as Bonino is listed as day-to-day and could play tomorrow. If this was for a longer period of time I would agree with you. Besides maybe they will play Cogs at 3rd line center and put Parros in the game.

So much for being uptight on the number thing :

Per Ducks Website roster page :
http://ducks.nhl.com/club/roster.htm

He will wear 58 - it's the little things I guess

Most likely because the Crunch are in a playoff race, so why not let the kids play down there and try to make a run of their own. Personally Id rather see them play some meaningful games to try to get into a winning environment.

O'Mara's been told he will play, so Pelley or Parros will come out. I woild assume Pelley since O'Mara is a natural centreman.

I hope he plays with the same heart up there he has shown here in Syracuse. Well deserved call up for a player who has been with the organization a short period of time. Plays the body smartly and effectively, willing to take the hit to finish the pass. Did well in the defensive zone as well.

Solid call-up, hopefully he is good defensively because his offensive numbers suck.
