That had to be one of the dumbest things i've ever read on why we shouldn't go after a certain player.

Have you seen the pairing lately. Torts is only really comfortable playing Eminger on the left side. Everyone else he prefers on their natural side. We lose Girardi, we have one of worst groups of right handed dmen in the league.

Guess what? Erixon is also LH...
You are too fixated on L-R balance which is a nice plus to have, but I'd rather have better talent than the balance. If we have enough good Ls we can trade for an R if that's a case of a real upgrade (Weber).

Girardi is a great talent, and his heart is unmatched.
But based on innate potential ability (Erixon), or specific need (a fear of God toughie like Scott Stevens) all these other guys are more valuable IMO, than DG, based not only on now, but what they may bring to the table.

Another guy like that could only help.

But not help as much as a finisher.
Another Richards would be nice.
But what we really need is another Gaborik.

Great job guys; we got a little spoiled there for a while and so the additon of a solid winger or two would certainly be a blessed thing for this team.

Yep. It's like this:
If Vancouver was putting the Sedins on the market:

Henrik and Daniel have the same amount of points. I take Daniel over Henrik anyway.

Just making a point that we need a finisher. Not actually suggesting we do this.
