Yup, you'll never see a 50 goal scorer on a Carlyle team.(sarcasm)

a shot that hits the post is technically not a shot on goal. we should get better at hitting the net!

Perry scored 50 under Carlyle last season.
Flyers did a good job defensively today.

You missed the point. Gus really picked it up in January. He plays much better if he plays a lot.
If Wilson didn't replace him with his boy Reimer for no reason,Gus would just keep rolling.
In the end, that maroon just ruined the confidence in both our goalies. Props to Carlyle for doing the right thing now and just running with Gus.

That's why I asked. In the stats it was registered as a miss. Thanks for clearing that up.

Why are you using facts? The first rule of HFBoards is to never use facts.

Leafs need a skilled 6'4", 230 lb. center who can carry players on his back to the net.
Leafs need to find another PP system, at least try different point men.

Also, the Leafs need to be a BIT inventive. They use that damn drop pass every time. It's not always going to work.
When it fails, the Leafs waste another 20-25 seconds, going all the way back behind our net, regrouping and trying that same move again.

Are you guys so unaware of Carlyle??? Every Duck fan said, and you can go ask them today, that as long as his star player puts up points, he lives with their defense/effort. Guys like Mcdonald and Selanne are terrible defensively, yet he let them go because they are putting up points. Same thing with Getzlaf's laziness. As long as Kessel puts up points, he will be fine.

That I know. The poster was asking if it was a horrendous shot. While technically registered as a missed attempt, he hit the post so it's not like he
horrendously sailed it 4 feet wide.

The statistics say otherwise, but I'm not getting into that argument again. If you're honestly content with Kessel's inability to finish in OT and the SO, then perhaps you should follow another NHL club.

give it a rest. what was your excuse for him last year? or when he ***** the bed after playing a few games in a row.
glad he had a good game. it was nice to see him play a whole game without letting in a stinker.

Ashton much better in his 2nd. game. Started getting some leverage on players.

Guys. Who cares if Reimer or Gus start? Playoff hopes sank just like the Titanic. It doesn't matter anymore.
Gus is playing good and losing. I'll take that right now. In fact, I'd love if we can just give that loser point to Philly too.
