We haven't had anyone who A) wanted to score empty-netters and B) was capable of scoring them this well since Modano. I really do believe it's a skill unto itself.

Why was Morrow over by the Ducks' tunnel exit?

Beleskey is an idiot. He purposely took the puck and shot it down the tunnel when Morrow was trying to get it.

Belesky apparently jacked the puck or something. What a dick.

Can he be fined for that? Seems like something the NHL would do.

Dick move.

Apparently he not only lacks skill, but character as well. I hope the scrub enjoys his extra long offseason.

well we got the two points, hopefully Souray is back for the next game at Minny. We've dropped important games to them before and we could use all hands on deck.

Boudreau so angryyyyyy.

Quote:
Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau on the penalties against the Ducks

“The funny thing is if I say anything, it costs you $10,000. And if you don’t say anything, nothing gets done. It’s really a double-edged sword. I don’t know if anything gets done. I’d love to be able to get a report that says yes, it’s not good enough and this is the consequences but we never hear. If that penalty on Lehtonen by Getzlaf was a penalty, I’ll be a monkey’s uncle. If the Corey penalty wasn’t a five-minute penalty then I don’t know what is. He’s in the most vulnerable position, head first going into the boards and he’s getting a shove. Whether it’s a big shove or a little shove, it’s a shove of a defenseless person into the boards. I don’t know how many times I’ve heard that and you put your best player out in a game we had to win. I don’t know, even the Brookbank penalty. There was two guys battling. Why did they chew their guy? They’ve both equally done the same thing. I could go on and on. I said it in LA and I’m now sounding like a whining, little crier. It’s not good enough.”

Boudreau’s on Stephane Robidas’ hit on Corey Perry

“Of course, any hit that’s into the boards for a defenseless person, isn’t that one of the criteria? Even if he didn’t extend his arms, he pushed him or if he didn’t, he held him and pushed him and held his arm to where he couldn’t protect himself. That Robidas guy does it every game and we tell him. He gets away with murder all the time. And then he says well, I didn’t try to or didn’t mean to. It’s not good enough.”

No opposing coach should be arguing to get Robidas removed from the ice.

You really can see where he is coming from though. The Stars have been on that side of the penalty line quite a bit this season, and I actually agree with him about Robidas in regards to his shoving. I've noticed him do that quite a few times this season. Even though most of them are small shoves, it's still a stupid and dangerous play he makes.

I gotta say.. Robidas does tend to end up in the penalty box alot for stuff like that. There might be something there.

I mean we always complain about him because we think he's incompetent and putting the Stars on the kill for another lazy play, but maybe there's some malicious intent there haha

I agree with both posts, though. He's done it a couple times, but then again, a lot of players do. He blows it out of proportion.

And he isn't one to talk. The Stars have it far worse off with the refs than most other teams, especially the Ducks.

Robidas didn't do anything. I watched the replay a dozen times after it happened. I don't know if he caught a rut or dove or what...regardless, Robidas shouldn't have even received a minor on that play.

Yep perry lost his edge and robidas was more than half way through his shove which, if perry didnt lose his edge would have been a normal check into the boards..

nothing in it except an unfortunate accident..

disagree. he shoved him. he just did not fully extend his arms in that shove. Perry fell as well, but it was a dangerous shove by Robi.
