By the way. How many blocked shots did Lilja have? Seven! What has got into him? What I really liked is how the team responded to the slash Giroux got. The boys know what side their bread is buttered on! You mess with the bull you are gonna get the horns. Just like in the glory days when someone went after Clarkie. He paid for it big time. This group seems to really care about each other.
This team plays for each other.....that is definitely obvious...unlike what we've seen in prior years especially when they went into those long funks. I mean seeing Carle fight for Bryz the other night was great to see. This team is definitely growing...that trade this offseason with Carter and Richards was the right medicine for that mortuary of a locker room and I'm glad the GM and owner had the nutz to do it.....

This game... i loved it. Bryz playing like he did in Phoenix, and Giroux, needs no words.

I would start Bryzgalov tomorrow again. Ride him while he is hot.

Hopefully we can get one or two players back.

What's this I keep hearing about G's wrists problems? First I heard of it was during the SO, but it was uttered like it was common knowledge.

Sitting Bryz will give him the same amount of rest he had between NYI and the Caps last week. Getting Bob some work isn't a bad idea. OVERworking Bryz is a bad idea

Just got back from the game.

Pretty slow for the most part, Bryz was extremely solid again. Made some awesome saves. First shootout I have ever seen live and our seats were 2nd row right behind the net so we had G's winner right in front of us!

I havent read any of the comments, but I thought both Carle and Gustafsson had bad games and Grossman was a beast. He is amazing down low, its really noticeable when you see it right in front of you.

And why Simmonds in the shootout AGAIN?

It is not working, thankfully it didnt cost the team

Got slashed by Chimera vs. WAS, took a maintenance day the next day, and has supposedly been playing "banged up" since.

Both teams woke up for the 3rd period. OT was pretty sloppy and outside of Grabovski, the Leafs pretty much suck. Roo's goal was unreal!!

What is going on with him not taking face offs? And in overtime, after not taking faceoffs all night he took the first one and left immediately after the play began.

There were tons of Flyer fans at the game tonight, probably more than we'd seen before.

Apparently it's because of his wrist issues, but his stickhandling doesn't seem to be a problem so it's a little strange.

Watch a highlight reel of Bryzgalov in Phoenix.

And then watch Datsyuk troll goalies.

That's basically the same thing as tonight only Bryzgalov is in Philly and by Datsyuk I mean Giroux.

The reaction from Read on the Roo SO goal is priceless. If only we had a head on camera view. Instant GIF worthy.

I think he is very happy right now in Philly. Yesterday I read short comment from Czech national team coach... Here is a quick translation:

Alois Hadamczik (Czech national coach) spoke with Jaromir Jagr, who was after his return to the NHL in connection with the start on the World Championship 2012 very careful. "He said clearly that the team he is playing for is very good, and that he believes in this team and he suppose the team will be very high in playoffs," approached Hadamczik contents of the conversation. "Even when he was injured Jarda (Jagr) had a very good mood. It is clear there also how young boys are glad to be there with Jagr on the team, they all acknowledge him," said Hadamczik.

Well thats true, he used to do the shootouts at least in intl games, but decided not to take part even there. He hasnt done very well in that "skills competition" in the last few years.

In other news, "Will Bryzgalov ever be worth his contract?" ....

Ok, I see. Is this something that's changed(recently?) or have I dreamt that you were awarded a goal?
