This is so stupid, the NHL is trying to hard here. Quit while you're ahead, and while you're at it, get rid of the stupid goalie box behind the net.

This is all money... Whether the players, coaches etc. like it or not, it may happen in some effect because the NHL and Reebok are partners now. Itll sure be interesting to see what comes of this, im sure some pics will leak out by next week.

Tuck in the jerseys? Give me a break. They can try this, but the players are going to get so tired of having to tuck them back in after they come out that they'll eventually abandon it. Hockey jerseys are worn loose and not tucked in for a reason.

This is dumb. Bettman must have bought tons of Rebok stock during the lockout.

Yeah, the'd love to sell these jerseys for 2 years and then call them "new jerseys" while they bring back the old ones and call them "jerseys classic". Its all gimmicks. Hey, I don't think we sell enough road jerseys in the league. Why don't we make the road jerseys the home ones for a while and see what happens? Come on. I just love going to the Garden and looking at Blue vs. White EVERY game. My feeling is this never happens. Our jerseys are rather unique. Why would we want to look like anything else? I could care less about attracting new fans. You'd rather watch a slam dunk contest every game or sit through 60 seconds between pitches, then this isn't the sport for you.

The original six jerseys have relatively stayed the same over decades of play, and now you are gonna add a universal design element to them? that shouldnt be a league decsion, it should be a franchise decision and i think thats whats gonna be the biggest problem. Teams like the Coyotes could care less, theve been in existence for less than 10 years and they already have had 2 sets of jerseys, but a team like the Habs or the Bruins... hahah try and persuade them into it.

Why don't we just attatch a tie and slacks to the uniform and slap giant neon NHL logo's on the backs?

Have we solved all the problems in hockey that this is the biggest problem they have to solve now? Tucking in the uniform?

Maybe when the Pens move then can call themselves the "Aristocrats" and they can put that tuxedo template on their jerseys. They'll look more like penguins at that point than ever.

I was reminishing recently about the days the Flyers wore the long hockey pants. Remember that? That must have been uncomfortable.

I believe the canucks did something like that as well.

The pants almost made it look like they were playing roller hockey.

Whalers did it, and alot of college hockey as well including the Providence Friars, run by Lou Lamoriello

Too bad the same effort isn't always made to actually make safer equipment or actual improve the way hockey develops players.

The league can't figure out how to market itself in the U.S. but they found a way to save helf a step if two players happen to start on the same spot on the ice and have to race 50 meters for the puck.......

yeah, how often are guys racing 50 meters to the puck??? i've never seen a player negate an icing by starting next to his own goal.

So true.

Like the "aerodynamics" of these jerseys will even make a damn of a difference. Sure, speed skaters need form fitting attire because a fraction of a secon can make or break their race, but this is hockey here!

This is yet another device by the NHL to make the goalies less-able
