I'm not so sure that that's going to be a terrible concussion. Regarding hockey concussions, a lot of the worst in terms of post-concussion syndrome seem to be caused by torque (heads getting turned violently) rather than deceleration (heads getting hit head on into immovable objects). Compare Crosby's concussion inducing hits and MaxPac's. MaxPac's looks worse, but computer imaging showed that his hit was actually much nicer to his brain. Kind of counter-intuitive, I know, but I wouldn't jump to conclusions yet.
The problem is that Montreal has underachieved whereas Columbus just plain sucks. By looking at our goal differential we should be fighting for a playoff spot. It is annoying to look at Florida's differential as they are a bad team that has fluked in so far with smoke and mirrors.
On the bright side this could be a very quick turnaround for the Habs as there are some great young pieces in place already and all of our top prospects are turning pro next season.
Looking at the lower echelon forwards, unless Timmins really has his eyes on one of Collberg or Faksa , I hope we pick the best player available which will be in all probability a defenseman. I'd be a bit disappointed with Reinhart, Ceci or whatever other pick however after a ****** season like this.
I didn't like his skating, his acceleration or his speed. I did not see enough in his offensive game to show that he'll ever be a big point producer. I see more of a Radek Bonk in him than anything else. I'd take him in the 20's. But he's a no draft for me on any team that misses the play-offs. The best forwards and D would have to be gone before I took a look at him and said, this is the best shot we have of getting a 2nd line player.

That's the way my list looks right now, but honestly, if I'm down to Gaunce, I'm going to trade down. Take two shots at that point.
Yakupov is a dynamic franchise talent.
Grigorenko is a cerebral franchise center.
Galchenyuk is an upper echelon two-way center.
Forsberg is a first line winger.
Trouba's a two-way minute cruncher.
Dumba is Subban vs. 2
Ryan Murray is.. well, at that point, you have to take him. Not a huge fan.
Collberg can be a sniping first line winger.
Aberg can be a first line talent or a 2A player.
