Bernie Parent 1974. Stop telling people they are wrong. Everyone else is on the same page in this thread besides you. We should all be saying that to you, but none of are that arrogant to simply say it. So you should probably just stop arguing, because you sir are the one who is wrong.( I decided enough was enough and you needed to be told you were)

As much as you think you are an expert on all things related to Bryz, you are not. And what Briere and the other leaders of the locker room said to him worked. So their is no questioning what they did. The onus is on Bryz

Also i'm done arguing about this with you. It falls on deaf ears because of your bias towards one player.

me, he gets NO PASSES for saying ANYTHING about needing reasons to 'play hard'
Right. So...the person who's really at issue here is Bryz; that's what all this was about. That's inconvenient for you, so you're making it about Briere...as you're further proving here, by continuing to go on about Briere. You're trying to make him look bad, and you're utterly failing because you have to reach so far to twist his statements.

I also don't understand why it's horribly unacceptable for the skaters to play poorly because they don't trust their goaltender, yet it's perfectly acceptable for Bryz to play poorly because he can't trust his skaters on defense. In fact, it's the go-to excuse.

That's a neat double standard.

it doesn't matter to me WHO Danny is talking about.

"If [insert name here] wants the guys to keep playing hard for him ..."
"If Laviloette wants the guys to keep playing hard for him ..."
"If Holmgren wants the guys to keep playing hard for him ..."
"If Mr. Snyder wants the guys to keep playing hard for him ..."

MY feelings are about Danny. regardless of who he called out publicly. PERIOD.

i will tell you and Beef, any ANYONE else here who thinks that i should accept Danny for publicly calling out anyone, and coming up with reasons as to why he might not 'play hard'

That's not what he's doing. I'm pretty sure you are the only person who thinks that.

And...again. That double standard I mentioned.

Edit: I love it. People refute what you say, and your next move is to just repeat yourself in the hope that it works the second or third time around?

My question remains the same. EVERYONE can tell bryz is trying hard now. The last few weeks.. but he CLEARLY wasn't at the beginning of the year.

So let's say Danny doesn't try hard when bryz is playing poorly. Ok, we'll let you have that.

What about the 3 months when bryz wasn't?

Danny's PUBLIC statement is as INSANE as hearing Bobrovsky say "If the team wants me to keep playing hard for them, they need to stop leaving guys all alone in front of the net"

or "if the fans want me to keep playing hard, they can't boo me"

No. you are a PAID PROFESSIONAL ....

#1. these things stay INSIDE THE ROOM
#2. you must ALWAYS play hard, there are no 'if X happens, then we'll play hard'

EVER.
PERIOD.

no excuse, or provisos.

having a player play poorly, is different than him stating PUBLICLY that there are 'conditions' on him playing hard .... and THAT's what Danny did here. put conditions on him playing hard.

everybody struggles. at NO time should a player EVER put conditions on playing hard.

I understand you have to take what he said at face value, but these are athletes, not experts on conveying meaning.

I wonder if in his comment he was making more of a reference to the fact that playing hard becomes much more difficult when the goaltender behind you continually was deflating team morale with bad goals.

Now that this is not the case, plus he's fitting in more with the group, it's easier to play harder for him, because your seeing a better effort from him, plus he's more likeable.

Granted, you should always play hard, but subconsciously, liking who you play with and fighting off deflating goals against will influence your level of play.

Just answer the purple part I highlighted. When Bryz threw the dmen under the bus, where were you? Shouldn't that stay in the room?

Honestly, you should just repeat the same thing you said in reply to the thing he said before. Would actually be pretty funny.

It was earlier in the season. December, perhaps?

Why? It happened. It was well documented and discussed. Don't see why you need to wait

well, since I'm not aware of what happened, or if that was what the question asked of me was about, how about I just wait until MsWoof tells me exactly what the incident was [that I was asked about] & i'll reply.
