I would put Reinhart above Reilly. Honestly I see Reinhart being similar to Hamrlik in his younger years.

Ewww, no way.

Reinhart has to be one of the most overrated prospects in this year's draft. He's big and mobile, but that's not going to make him an impact player.

We'll see in 4-5 years. I really liked him every time I watched him.

So, do they pick the one with a concussion, the one with a bad shoulder or the one with the bad knee?

“@Jerome_Berube: Grigorenko hurt shoulder in 3rd period in Gatineau RT @kathleenlavoie: Mikhail Grigorenko blessé à une épaule au début de la 3e période”

I must've gotten all the bad games, because he was unimpressive in every single one of them. His offensive upside is seriously limited IMO. He's really far from being a good puck handler.

Rielly on the other hand...he's this year's Ryan Murphy.

Forsberg could be #1 by default. Picked a great year to tank eh?

Yea he won't be dancing through the other teams' defences. It's clear. I think he can be a solid shutdown ES guy who will pinch in, hold the line, keep it simple and be a physical presence. He's got a decent first pass and a good shot already while getting used to his big frame at this age. I see serious potential in him.

Why do we want Luke Schenn?

Waste of a top 10 pick.

Not the way I see it. I think he might be better than Schenn.

Where we will pick... we probably won't have to worry about the 2nd tier defensemen.

Went to watch the Spitfires today, I would like to see us take a shot on Brady Vail if he is around late second round. Good all around player. I don't think he will be any more than a third liner, but I would take that for a late second pick

Everything else being equal, I'll take the bad shoulder. Bad knee and concussion is on a case by case basis... The main dowside with Galchenyuk's injury is the length of time he wasn't under the scouting microscope.

I'd be generally more concerned if a player starts getting in concussion trouble.
Once a guy gets his second concussion or gets one really bad one, it's a major red flag.

Everything else being equal: I want us to take Forsberg.

...even unequally, I want us to take Forsberg. There, I said it:

Moi aussi. If Forsberg and Yakupov are gone, it wouldn't hurt my feelings one bit if we got Ryan Murray. What a beautiful skater. He reminds me of a couple of other former WHL Dmen....a bit of a cross between Scott Niedermayer and Wade Redden.

Pretty sure that Columbus and Edmonton will end up taking defensemen. Columbus should trade down. Tampa Bay and Islanders could also be looking at defensemen.

Leafs and Habs are looking like they want a forward.

He does everything well. He's not just big he's physical, makes nice outlet passes and puts points on the board. He's basically what you want from a defenceman. I have no idea why you hate the kid so much.

I really, really don't want the Habs to draft a defenseman. The only defenceman that I would find acceptable drafting is Dumba. After that I'm not interested and would prefer a forward, but I do like Reinhart.

I don't hate him, I don't see his offensive upside. His puckhandling is average, his vision is average at best. He's probably a 3 at best.

Rielly on the other hand, has elite skating, puckhandling and offensive instincts. I'll take that over an all-around game from a big guy any day of the week.

Don't worry. They'll trade their 1st and 2nd round picks for Toskala's 2012 equivalent.

If that happens, Yakupov could become ours. Our chances become bigger. But, I prefer Galchenyuk after Yakupov, so either way I would be happy.

@ Rise from the Ashes

My friend and I were debating about who Galchenyuk would be best compared to. I said he is like Toews, while my friend says he is like Kesler. Can you tell me and give me a opinion as who he best compares to?
