Our PP actually won us a game! I agree with others, Gabby and Richards looked good together.. add Hagelin with that line and the opposition has very little time before someone gets on them...

hags-richards-gabby
dubi/aa-stepan-callahan

kill me for putting dubi there but we nee him to get it going and perform for us in the playoffs.

That was hands down the most frustrating game this season, the outcome just happened to be good.

2 incredibly lucky goals, combined with horrible horrible decision making on the Rangers part is the only way this game went to OT. That was not enjoyable to watch.

PoTG: Richards was on another level. And IMO it had nothing to do with playing with Gaborik, who I felt wasn't that spectacular. This is what he's capable of, best game since Philly.

Good: Hagelin was nearly as good as Richards. Boyle had a great game, as did Prust and Zuccarello deserves another shot. Really this game was controlled by both team's top 6. Every other player was very pedestrian. I'll give Bickel and Staal some props, Bickel was awesome.

Bad: The defense was bad. Really really bad. The Islanders first line rocks us. Again we are frequently guilty of painfully retarded decision making. Every single game, and it does not happen to other teams nearly as much.

Redden: PAP deserves the worst. Guy is a piece of ****.

Yup, this was our game #68. Pens played #68 earlier today.

BTW we just matched last year's points total.

It's amazing what a difference Zucc makes on the PP. Keep him up!

Got to love the fact that this team was able to get two huge points despite the bad bounces. Bring on the 'Canes!

Great Game - Islanders played very well. Our Rangers were resilient - nice crowd. Some excellent goals - some nice hits. Lots of brilliant passes and skating.

No complaints and thanks for 2 points!

These could be the last two teams in the league and these games would still be amazing.

nhl.com boxscore says he only got 1 point.

to your point though, mza has just proven himself big time and needs to keep with it, he prlly has some things to work on, but if torts sticks to his accountability he has to keep him up here

Still need to play better yet.

Keep Zuke up, not sure he is the x-factor on the powerplay, but it did look better with him on it.

Would like him to see top-6 minutes.

1. Richards, phenomenal performance.
2. Hagelin played one of his best games of the year.

Gabby, great shot, but quit it with the over-passing.

I don't know how people are going to say stuff about Richie looking good finally because of Gabby. Guy has looked great for a while now, pairing him with Gabby when he's playing like this is obvious because it's going to lead to points.

Richie, on an individual level right now, is peaking.

I love that he just said that. "From the outside looking in it may look like there is a lot of room but three guys can still jam up shooting lanes" (not the exact quote but something along those lines). Can't stand the "shoot the puck" idiots.

Seriously did MZA really do that much? It was really Richards who showed his highest calibre tonight. Also Boyle in front of the net is a no brainer - why hasn't this happend sooner? The guy is a giant.

well at the game they are most likely just watching the player with the puck and not seeing or looking for any lanes or where chances can be created as if your watching on tv. i agree with you if richards shoots there it gets blocked.

I gave it to Trautwig. This is his second most important performance in his Ranger broadcasting career. The first was when he interviewed the net.

Huge 2 points obviously. Win the next 2 and we might stay on top of the conference. Run the table on this homestand and we surely will.

By far Richards' best game as a Ranger. This is one of those rare nights in which the offense was able to carry the team.

I'm thrilled we were finally able to gut out a win, but there were still areas of sloppiness that have me concerned. The too many men penalty, shoddy defense and surrendering breakaways/odd men rushes, poor on-ice awareness, overpassing, etc. Once they start to limit the mistakes, I'll breathe a sigh of relief.

If scott plays any game over MZA then ill go crazy... MZa actually makes a difference on the offense and is a good passer.

Scott is a bender that no one even wants to fight.

WPG (9th) can get a possible 26 pts with 13 games left, which would give them 98 total. So we need 5 pts to clinch. (I think)
