That was so stressful. JQ really wouldn't let us lose this one.

I'm exhausted. Still alive baby.

I have to say, every game that goes by, VV looks better and better. I'm really impressed by him.
We'd be leading the division. Cause in that theoretical scenario, Carter would have been less injured due to playing for a different team.

I gotta say it,

I thought Jeff Carter was suppose to be some bum, that got lucky scoring like he does ?

Didn't plenty of people tell us this guy has zero compete, and is just a passenger ?

Carter is one hell of a Forward, exaclty what the Kings have been missing for the last three years.

Didn't also people say this guy can't play Defense ?

Well, we won, and if we didn't, it would have been because we got jobbed. But woulda's don't matter when there's two points on the board

Most of the people on the main board thought so.

Sounds like this guy..

Nothing wrong with an offensive player with questionable character off the ice. Not every team is going to be full of Steve Yzerman's.

Carter's goal-scoring is much needed, it's about 6 years in the making.

I don't know about some bum, but I was a guy who believed he had zero compete and was going to be a passenger. Although I never said he didn't play defense.

I was very against trading for him; however, I have been pretty impressed. He's faster than I thought and has even finished some checks. His biggest contribution though is giving Richards someone to play with who can finish, resulting in two lines that can actually score rather than just Kopi's.

A lot of Flyer fans who are clueless said all that. He's improved his defence tremendously over the past few years and has been putting himself in front of the net. His skating looks effortless so they equate that with no effort.

On an unrelated note, Columbus was mathematically eliminated tonight - their max is 77 points, and LA and Calgary both have 76 points and play each other one more time, so at least one of them will finish with 78... thus the Blue Jackets are officially out.

Depends on what game you watch. One game he is dynamite and the next he disappears and shows none of the above. But if you can handle the inconsistency and can appreciate getting 35ish goals and 70+ points while being better than average defensively and good in the face off circle well then I guess you have a player.

You just described what everyone in the NHL wishes they had TWO of ,on their Top Six Wings.

Not everyone has to be Steve Y in heart, and Grit.

Yep. I have been a fan since the Soo days. The guy has some game and I think LA will bring out the best in him. The trade to CBJ and what went down I think has taught him a valuable lesson that will make him a better player down the road.

Carter's looked great defensively to me. Good reads on the PK, stick in shooting lanes through the middle of the ice and good compete down low. If he keeps up what he's been doing, I would label him a well above-average defensive forward.
