I'd put Trouba as the equal of Dumba and Murray, and say the draft is 7 deep.

Considering the top 10 talent stops at 8, that's not terrible, but that's pretty far from being a nice place to be.

That's assuming we pass every team ahead of us. I don't see that happening.

Regardless, we could end up being out of the running for any of the top forwards. I don't know about you, but after this season, that'd piss me off.

@BartsBytes: By looks of the morning skate, we might see Peter Budaj get the start for the #Habs tonight in Buffalo.

Makes sense with 4 games in 6 nights, hope we see him vs. the Islanders too.

it would be much better on a different background and if it didn't say TANK CITY, otherwise it's pretty darn epic

I hope Budaj plays every single game.

Also have him sleep at the hotel in the same room as the guy who snores the most in the team, and steal his earplugs.

Before games with other cellar dwellers call strippers to his room.

Haha there's only 13 games left. We made zero ground going 4-1 in 5 games. We should lose tonight. Miller is absolutely on fire. Tampa, Toronto, Anaheim, Minnesota, Carolina, the Islanders, Edmonton and Columbus ALL lost their last game. It should average out and a number of them should pick up points in their next game.

I just want one of Yakupov, Grigorenko, Forsberg, Galcheynuk. If we get one of them, I will be very happy!

My attitude is it's win-win at this point. I can't deny how much I enjoyed watching Markov return and getting a win in Vancouver, but at the same time I'm fully on the tank and really hope we can hang onto 3rd place. The Islanders schedule is brutal, so that may not be possible. So if we lose, I'm happy for the big picture and if we win I just enjoy the moment. We're almost guaranteed to pick top 6, so either we'll add a very good D prospect or we'll get a shot at the 3rd or 4th best forward of the year. Sure hope Timmons hits a home run with it. The pressure he must be feeling at this point.

Miller always seems to kill us. Too many games this year where we've absolutely dominated the Sabres, but lost because we couldn't convert our chances. I don't see that trend changing tonight.

I do hope we get some PP opportunities though because I want to see more of Subban and Markov on the point. That was sweeeeet.

With Budaj getting the start, I say Sabres win 4-2 (with EN).

Cole and Subban (PPG from Markov) for the goals. I want Cole to hit 30 goals.

Instead of lying to yourself, thinking the team is going to lay down and lose so we get a better draft pick, just hope Buffalo shows up to play for that playoff spot they're close to.

I'm so sick of hearing, "but, but Toronto!" There's nothing they can do but hope those teams that are supposedly better than them, actually play like that.
