I'm glad the Kings won, but if they play like that for the next couple of weeks, there won't be ANY posts in the Kings playoff PGTs - or any playoff game day threads for that matter.

IMO, that's not being negative.
You're such a pessimist.

Missed the game but happy they won. I saw a few highlights on NHL network. Truly is amazing to actually see the team score more than one goal. I'd like to see them do some damage if we make it into the playoffs.

EDIT...hey Page 4 after a win. Woo Hoo!

I don't know why some of you guys are getting so mad about Mike Milbury. Sure, the guy is an *******, but he's not wrong when it comes to Doughty. So far, the double D has been having a pretty bad season considering his potential and all that nonsense with the contract.

Fell asleep during the game and woke up to see that we won.

It's nice to get the two, but I saw nothing from this team that makes me think they'll be able to get into the playoffs.

You saw nothing from this team that makes you think they'll be able to get into the playoffs while you were asleep? Thanks for the insight

Fell asleep during the game. I saw most of it.

Was not impressed with what I saw, if I was, maybe I would have been able to stay awake.

Do some of you guys who complain about more traffic in GTD's when we lose not post on any other sports messageboards?

The same thing happens on every other board I post on. Yet people act like it's some kind of exclusive thing with this board.

Ofcourse there is going to be more heated discussion about a 3-1 loss to the worst team in the NHL than a 3-2 shootout win over the #6 seed in the West.

3 things i realized today

1) Why was there a doughty segment when Keith is doing worse, and he signed his life to the Hawks and won the Norris and he's playing terrible. That Pissed me off.

2) The refs were closet hawk fans.

3) Carter is a god

P.S. Im surprised milbury didn't have some random excuse for richard's shootout goal, If he did it would go like this "If you look closely you see Sutter using a laser pointer into Emery's eyes, thats why the kings won and the hawks felt bad for them so they gave them the win" or something really close to it.

Solid victory for the Kings. Quick came up big which was quite nice after a few sub-par starts.

Overall I thought Slava had a solid game, but he's gotta take better angles in the corners. While I think we got screwed on the 2nd Chi goal by the refs, Voynov can't be on the wrong side of Sharp and let him take the puck to the slot, which resulted in the scrum and Kane scoring.

The whole team knows it has trouble scoring goals. I think DD is trying a little too hard to compensate, and it's affecting his defensive play by forcing him into offensive situations that pose more risk for a counter attack.

I think King is looking good as a 2nd line LW. Of all the things people complain about, our hole at 2LW is the least of our worries.

I wish Penner would go around destroying people on a regular basis. It seems like he has 3-4 spectacular hits one game, then takes the next game off. He wasn't terrible by any means, but certainly not noticeable.

Yeah, this was a very big win. One point wouldn't have cut it. Remember when the Flyers got into the playoffs two years ago in the last game of the year, in the shootout vs the Rangers? And eventually went to the Stanley Cup? Yeah, you guys thinking the same thing that I am?

Hahahaha but seriously, we needed the 2 pts vs Detroit. That was a heartbreaking loss, nice to see the boys rebound. Carter and Richards were studs today, our first line was invisible and wtf is wrong with Kopitar in the shootouts? 1 for 8 this year? Really?

We miss Handzus in the shootouts

Kopitar isn't used to skating down the middle of the ice with the puck. Great 3 points, always enjoy the longer shootouts, still loving the Carter trade.

Who cares about Johnson. These trades aren't competitions. Look at how many goals we have scored since the trade. Carter has noticeably given our offense more room and is still performing up to par. We got exactly what we needed.

I care about Johnson because I'm a fan, but otherwise I agree with what you're saying, and Carter has been exactly what the Kings needed thus far.

I only brought up the stat line to poke a little fun at Tik, he thought JJ was going to be a disaster in Columbus and his minus rating would reach new lows. It is ironic that he's a plus 1.
