It's free depth. This is one of those areas where having a reputable GM and a loved coach pays off.

WHL captain in your draft year is pretty impressive. That said, hard nosed bottom six glue guys can be signed on the cheap every summer. No need to blow first rounders on them. Unless, of course, you think all of those goals will translate. I mean, he coukd he Chipchura but he could be Glencross, you know?

The contract doesn't start til '12/13 so I don't think Shinnimin's contract was the reason McBackup was included in the deal.

Thursday was the first day for contracts could be signed with the first season as '12/13.

Shinnimin's contract.

Signing bonus is payable regardless of whether player is in the AHL or NHL - is that correct Mouser?

I saw Shinnimin play the T-birds last month. He looks awesome, and certainly helped the amerks destroy the t-birds.. I think he will be a solid prospect for you guys.

And only 3 back of Etem for the goals lead.
Might as well put some gravy on his year.

4 points again last night. 2 goals and 2 assists. He leads the scoring by 13 with 3 games left and trail Etem by 3 in most goals scored.
