A lot of speculation out there that Justin Schultz will sign with the Ducks tomorrow and maybe even play tomorrow night against Colorado.

That was a good clean hit, no way there should even be any consideration otherwise imo

I just read about this now (http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=621883). Pretty amazing that this kid could be go from playing college 1 week to being with arguably the NHL's best team the next. Best of luck to him!

They need to get him signed right away, but he might choose to become an UFA on July first. Which would be really bad for the Ducks.

Per Elliotte Friedman's twitter, Sens about to sign Cole Schneider.

Hearing OTT about to sign an interesting late bloomer -- Cole Schneider from UConn. He'll report to AHL Binghamton.

Schneider wasn't on anyone's radar early this season, but there was some serious interest late.

What can people tell me about Schneider? He looks like a decent goal scorer.

Would burn a year off of his ELC just like Schwartz, I assume.

The Washington Capitals have signed T.J. Syner to a 2-year deal that begins this season. Syner who played this past season for UMass-Amherst, had 13 goals and 37 points in 36 games in the NCAA. I'm not totally clear yet on whether this is an AHL or NHL deal, though I'm leaning towards the latter.

I haven't seen this anywhere yet - according to one transaction page (Link below) the Sharks have signed Sebastian Stalberg, F. It looks like he's a free agent.

Was curious about him, there was some speculation last year but not this for him signing an ELC

Confirmed

And on Syner, listed above, my gut feeling was wrong, he's signed an AHL ATO for this season with Hershey and a full AHL contract for next season.

But Yale plays a system which over emphasizes transition and speed through the neutral zone and play the forwards extremely aggressively on the forecheck. The system encourages taking chances offensively, and as a result, may lead to inflated offensive numbers, especially when playing lesser skilled clubs in the ECAC.
